I'm an associate professor, my wife is not from the UK. We own our flat, we contribute to the economy, but I don't earn enough and it looks like the new rules might mean that my wife has to leave the country. I'm a British citizen, and I'd leave with her.

This excellent video essay helped me understand the pathology of #comicsgate and why Hollywood often screws up 'woke' movies. Most of all it gave me a huge confidence in the direction of travel of humanity.

If you're desperate to run an AI course, don't use it to make comics. Aside from the ethics, its a completely unnecessary tool that complicates the comics making process. I've taught 4 year olds with crayons how to tell a story with pictures - AI adds nothing here.

I run workshops for kids and adults making comics, usually only 1 1/2 hours. Even the most novice artists finish the workshop with a complete comic page. The response to "I can't draw" shouldn't be "use AI instead".
I was glad to contribute to the article.
I've been a keen part of the indie comics landscape in Cardiff, and an oft-times visitor to the excellent WMC.
My day job includes marketing STEM courses to children via indie game dev.
