New site for Roundhouse: roundhouse-rb.dev/ Not a fan of the AI-generated prose? As ESR put it, "Every good work of software starts by scratching a developer's personal itch." Consider this yours. PRs welcome: github.com/rubys/roundhouse

I've been a casual contributor to @yukihiro_matz’s Spinel project, so I made a single page intro to the parts I found most interesting: - What it does - How it performs - Its development pace st0012.dev/spinel?v=1

Trust me, it is even more surprising when YOUR random project on GitHub is on the receiving end of a @tobi PR or issue comment. github.com/rubys/roundhouse/…
Always surprising to see @tobi's name pop up in the contributors list of some random project on Github. One of the few public CEOs clearly in it for the love of the game.

Heaven is where the compile speed is from Go, the safety from Rust, the performance from C++, the libraries from Python, the macros from Lisp, the stability from Java, the types from Haskell, the ubiquity from JavaScript, and the error handling from Elm. In this article, we will integrate Fluxpinel into a Rails application converted for Spinel using Roundhouse and take a look inside a running server via a socket.

Consequence? Both Spinel and Roundhouse started before Rails World.
the words of @dhh triggered Ruby people but the consequence is that we improve the Ruby tooling now - spinel and roundhouse are good examples

Pure poetry. "Why even spend precious tokens on improving the gardens we already live in if you can raze them to the ground and replace them with glorious concrete?"

Compiling a real production @rzilient_club Rails API into a single native binary with #roundhouse + #Spinel (AOT Ruby → C): it now builds, boots and serves, with responses checked field by field against Rails. Along the way: 69 PRs merged into roundhouse and 31 Spinel bugs filed (all 31 fixed). Next: a full route-by-route comparison against Rails. And for Mastodon, following @samruby 's advice, the new Futamura target, keep Rails and the gems, then profile and specialize the hot spots.
