More people confirmed that the parking lot was roped off with caution tape.

"I just walked by all that and dropped my ballot off," another voter said.
"Despite getting dirty looks from 2 security officers."
"I could see how others being deterred as they made getting to the ballot boxes a great hassle."

Back in 2002, CGI wasn’t nearly as advanced or accessible as it is today, especially when recreating enormous armies on screen. Rather than depending entirely on digital effects, director Zhang Yimou brought Hero (2002) to life through massive groups of real performers, carefully coordinated movements, and breathtaking practical filmmaking.
The film became famous for its extraordinary cinematography, perfectly synchronized military formations, and visually stunning battle sequences. Thousands of figures moved together with incredible precision, creating a spectacle that felt both realistic and artistic. Every scene reflected the immense planning, discipline, and coordination required to capture such ambitious visuals.
There’s something unforgettable about filmmaking on this scale. While modern CGI can create virtually anything, seeing enormous crowds physically assembled before the camera delivers a different kind of cinematic magic. Hero remains a reminder of an era when filmmakers went to extraordinary lengths to create breathtaking scenes through real-world spectacle rather than relying solely on computers.
