Joe Biden spent 9/11 hiding in a bunker. Kamala Harris spent it with her boyfriend Montel Willimas. Donald Trump spent 9/11 marching into a war zone of fire & ashes with an army of his own men to save Americans. The Man in the Arena 🇺🇸

Nearly 40,000 fans traveled from the US to Dublin for Saturday's game between Notre Dame & Navy. Most of them (32,000) were cheering for Notre Dame. And it represents the largest number of Americans traveling internationally for a single sporting event. ND is a massive brand.

After the Battle of Shiloh in April 1862 , Many Civil War soldiers' lives were saved by a phenomenon they called 'Angel's Glow.' The soldiers who lay in the mud for two rainy days had wounds that began to glow in the dark. The men had no explanation for the strange glow, but doctors soon discovered that soldiers who had reported seeing their wounds glow had a higher chance of survival than soldiers who did not. Not only that, they also seemed to have lower rates of infection. Moreover, their injuries appeared to heal much faster than their non-glowing counterparts. In 2001, 17-year-old high school student, Bill Martin and his friend, Jonathan Curtis, won an international science fair by discovering that the soldiers had been so cold that their bodies created the perfect conditions for growing a bioluminescent bacteria, Photorhabdus luminescens, which ultimately destroyed the bad bacteria that could have killed them.

In 1932, a group of Australian soldiers and farmers waged an unconventional war against a horde of emus, large flightless birds that were destroying crops and livestock in Western Australia. The Great Emu War, as it was dubbed, was a military failure and a public embarrassment for the Australian government. The soldiers were armed with machine guns and trucks, but they proved to be ineffective against the fast and agile emus, who scattered and regrouped at will. The emus also seemed to have a remarkable ability to survive bullets, as some of them were reported to have taken up to five shots before falling. The soldiers managed to kill only about 250 emus out of an estimated 20,000. The war ended after six weeks, with the emus declared the victors.

She doesn't seem like she's that tall when you're looking at her from the ground, but at 17 feet the statue of Mary atop the Golden Dome dwarfs the artisans who are regilding her.
#NDTriviaTuesday: We look up to Mary atop the Golden Dome daily, but how much would we look up to her if she was standing next to us on the ground? How tall is the statue of the Blessed Virgin?

In 1998, archaeologists uncovered an ancient Korean tomb containing the mummified body of a 30-year-old man named Eung-Tae Lee. On his chest was a love letter from his pregnant wife to the father of her unborn child. The translation of the letter is as follows: "To Won's Father June 1, 1586 You always said, 'Dear, let's live together until our hair turns gray and die on the same day!' How could you pass away without me? Who should I and our little boy listen to and how should we live? How could you go ahead of me? How did you bring your heart to me, and how did I bring my heart to you? Whenever we lay down together, you always told me, 'Dear, do other people cherish and love each other like we do? Are they really like us?' How could you leave all that behind and go ahead of me? I just cannot live without you. I just want to go to you. Please take me to where you are. My feelings toward you I cannot forget in this world, and my sorrow knows no limit. Where would I put my heart in now, and how can I live with the child missing you? Please look at this letter and tell me in detail in my dreams. Because I want to listen to your saying in detail in my dreams, I write this letter and put it in. Look closely and talk to me. When I give birth to the child in me, who should it call father? Can anyone fathom how I feel? There is no tragedy like this under the sky. You are just in another place, and not in such deep grief as I am. There is no limit and end to my sorrows that I write roughly. Please look closely at this letter and come to me in my dreams and show yourself in detail and tell me. I believe I can see you in my dreams. Come to me secretly and show yourself. There is no limit to what I want to say, and I stop here."

Born today 100BC Julius Caesar. In Rome every day the Romans of our age lay a wreath at his statue in his honour and throw flowers in the Forum Romanum where Caesar was murdered. Caesar is greatly loved even now
