Russians have released drone footage of them dropping a multi-ton guided bomb on a school in Zaporizhzhia, setting it to pop music.
This strike killed over 30 people.
This is Russian culture.

Ruzzians constantly have to make up ridiculous stories about evil Ukrainians, like today's claim about a 14-year-old allegedly being tortured. Meanwhile, in reality, the idiot simply climbed a tall fence and fell off it. 😂
And this isn't the first time they've pulled this nonsense, nor will it be the last. Remember that infamous fake story about a little boy supposedly being crucified by the "evil Ukrainians"?
Combating Ruzzian propaganda is difficult because they churn out new lies every single day. Unlike us, the Ruzzian government actually pays its trolls to spread this bullshit.
But we have to keep pushing back, flooding their comment sections with facts, exposing their lies, and tearing their propaganda apart every chance we get.

In today’s Vatnik Soup, we examine the ties of Donald Trump and his family to Russian intelligence operatives and the Kremlin. His current dealings with Putin may shock some people, but the pattern of collusion has been clear for more than a decade.

When Russia bombs a Ukrainian power station — everybody uses the word “war”. If Russia bombed a Lithuanian power station, or an airport, or even a school — I fear that it would be called “hybrid” in order to avoid discussing a serious response.

Russia is a terrorist state.
Russia is a terrorist state.

Russia continues its terror against civilians. Overnight, a massive attack using ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as combat drones, struck Odesa and the surrounding region. A residential building was severely damaged, leaving civilian people injured.
We urge all our partners to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense with additional systems and interceptors, and to impose tough sanctions on Russia’s military-industrial complex.
Russian terrorists must be deprived of the capacity to produce these means of terror.

“Hybrid schmybrid.” says the Estonian spy chief in this rare interview.
We should abandon euphemisms, according to Kaupo Rosin of @valisluure,
and call Russia’s sabotage and subversion by its proper name of “state-sponsored terrorism”.
The UK’s @Telegraph has done a great write up in praise of Estonian spies who “pound for pound” can “probably knock us into a cocked hat” according to his British counterpart at Mi6. (It apparently means they are very good).
On reports that the CIA Chief visited Moscow to warn against an attack on NATO, Rosin says: “I think that’s a bit exaggerated and there were other topics discussed.”
Rosin offers some insight into Russia:
“What we see is that in Russian society, by now, everybody ‘knows’ that the mobilisation will come. There is a lot of talk about it in Russia. Everybody knows somebody who works in the military who has said that mobilisation will come.”
“I do not see a street revolution happening at this point. More important is what people who have access to money, weapons and information – what do they think? In these circles, there is no more talk about total victory. People are discussing different scenarios, and mainly how to end this [war] in a proper way.”
He points to the Prigozhin mutiny as a sign of how hollow and surprisingly weak the system might be on the inside.
“I would say, if something changes in Russia, then it will happen in a very rapid manner and we will all be surprised. It will be an overnight thing, if it ever happens.”

Look who's back
After largely ignoring the impact of drone strikes inside Russia, their media is finally addressing the issue.. of, er.. its depiction in Estonian pork advertising.
A pork advert has caused considerable offence to people who complain that everyone in the West is too easily offended these days.
As many of you have probably seen by now, Estonian meat producer Rannarootsi recently unveiled its new barbecue pork with caramelized onion.
“The right grill will turn a bitter onion sweet,” explained its advert, in which men with Ukrainian flags on their shirts can be seen grilling on the beach with smoke rising in the distance behind them. “Sibul”, Estonian for ‘onion’, also happens to be a less-than-affectionate slang term for Russians.
Rannarootsi’s CEO says they wanted to refer to topical events, making the advert reflective of the rest of people’s media feeds, and says he wasn’t even aware of the double meaning.
Russian media took offence on behalf of Russian speaking residents of the Baltic countries, while not mentioning that Russian speakers in the Baltic countries enjoy some of the world’s highest levels of civic freedoms, far above that of any Russian speaker in Russia.
In online and offline discussions, a lot of normal people in Estonia - both Russian and Estonian speaking - are consistently making the same point: The onions are those who support Russia’s war against Ukraine.
In this sense, ‘onion’ is more like a synonym for ‘vatnik’, which is why a lot of Russian speakers say they found the advert funny because they know it’s not about them.
The unintended long term impact from this controversy may just be that it has elevated a more specific definition of the slang term.
All of which may not be enough to distract Russian viewers from the continued breakdown of daily life in Russia as people sit in line for fuel watching Ukrainian drones fly overhead and wondering whether the nightly news might cover some of their more pressing issues.
Meanwhile, the advert seems to have been well received in Ukraine.
Rannarootsi’s new barbecue pork is available at all good supermarkets in Estonia.
