#SankeyCanal runs c.15 miles #StHelens-#Warrington-#Widnes. Opened 1757, it was the 1st industrial canal in England, finally abandoned 1963.

Over the last two weekends SCARs members have been working with StHelens Angling Association in StHelens to clear rubbish from the lenons stretch of the canal. Around 40 bags have been taken out. Thanks to everyone for their time. It’s all good now. Here’s before and after.
