“Asked…how [to] hang art… on concrete [ the @LACMA CEO] was breezy: ‘You can just drill right into the walls. It’s very sturdy.’ [Changing] the exhibit…they would simply fill up those holes and drill new ones, ‘like a good pair of old blue jeans.’”

And where was Peter Zumthor during his supposed building’s unveiling? Perhaps he’s staying away as, he once famously noted, ““There are no Zumthor details any more.”

Come on Christopher, this building is a bust and you know it. Let’s not pull punches, we were promised a spectacular building but will get a subpar mass. @LACMA’s underground garage has a far better fit and finish than this dark, depressing anti-LA above ground tomb.

Yet another huge piece of art by a white male. And this one will hold 50,000 live plants that’ll need tens of thousands of gallons of water annually. Ironically, this a gift from the Resnicks who are well versed in wasting our state’s water for their financial gain.

One has to assume that, with this swipe against the august @metmuseum, he’s assured himself he won’t be able its director any time soon…and probably ever.

After calling Zumthor a liar, Govan did cite a “fussy” handrail and a fire escape door, but that’s it for a “Zumthor” building. And we know @som is notorious for taking over projects - just look at @ClarkBuilds’ website (with an outdated image).
