The reason I decided to recreate Save NYC Working Group's Twitter presence is because today, during Alternate Side Parking in Manhattan, a cop came (not a traffic cop, an actual cop), came upon the complaint of one person to hand out tickets to people double-parked 1/

Regardless of your socialism, NYC is a commercial hub and it must continue to be one. If you cannot work within the humongous budget you have from OUR TAXES, don't come for the drivers. It won't work. There are more drivers in NYC then not and you only have to look around. 6/

We need more parking, not less. We need you to stop allowing @TransAlt to dictate what our streets like. We need fewers "Open Streets" and more respect from your administration of our rights, respect for the fact that its OUR TAX MONEY YOU ARE WASTING, and that you're not king.

The war on cars is a war on New Yorkers. How we fight back: 1. Demand a public audit of every toll collected 2. Show up at DOT & community board hearings 3. Put candidates on record: with drivers or against us? Our streets. Our money. Common Sense = Common Ground. #SaveNYC

NYC drivers are tolled, taxed, and fined at every turn. Fair question: where does the money go? Before the City and MTA take another dollar, they owe us a full public accounting. No transparency, no new tolls. Common Sense = Common Ground. #SaveNYC

There's a war on cars in NYC — and it's a war on the people who drive them. Nurses. Small businesses. Outer-borough families. The disabled. We pay the tolls. We pay the taxes. We deserve to know where every dollar goes. Common Sense = Common Ground. #SaveNYC

X will not release the original account @savenycwg but it is the group I founded to raise awareness about issues facing ordinary New Yorkers. As a lawyer, I am focused on fighting corruption.
