Save Oasis Swindon 🏊‍♂️ - Pool, Slides & Hall

@SwindonCouncil @gsum66 should make any future planning consent for housing on the area conditional on the inclusion of a rebuilt dry side with like for like capacity at the Oasis. It is within the power of the council to ensure facilities are retained.

Rightly so! The plan is a betrayal of the clear message the public have sent to the council and further proof that they show no regard for the protection of heritage buildings or leisure facilities which is why the public have to fight them every step of the way. Shame on sbc!

This was paid for with taxpayers money and belongs to us. This is what we stand to lose and your "leaders" care only about their positions. Make yourselves heard. We won't allow a poorly run developer with a terrible reputation conspire with an equally poor council to destroy it.

@SevenCapital @gsum66 are on notice that ignoring residents and future customers, trampling over government regulation and due process will not be tolerated. That people have to fight to retain basic facilities is a scandal and a stain on you all.

Weldone guys, sorry i was unable to join due to illness. I hope it has been productive and we can effectively move on to the next stage of the campaign to protect the public from the destruction of our facilities by @SevenCapital @SwindonCouncil

@SevenCapital there is a way to achieve the all the objectives whilst retaining the full suite of functions at the Oasis. We urge you and @gsum66 to work together with us to ensure the facilities remain viable for decades to come and serve the town as originally designed.

Most officers @SwindonCouncil do amazing work with very little but there are a couple who have questionable agendas and we are keeping a close eye on the decisions they take and how they go about them.
