sadly even when there is more active engagement comments that go against plans are sidelined... @SavePeckhamArch (a whole board of post it notes in the library saying keep the arch/space!
what is needed is advocacy (paid for by developers)

This makes me so upset, the Arch and the whole area simply needs looking after in the way that Southwark looks after Dulwich Village, and its ‘square’. It is already a well used and loved public space and should remain so @SavePeckhamArch

TAKING more 'public domain' from the Public/Electorate
AGAIN!!
It shelters the public +the Farmers Market from the rain..
It frames the view of the Shard from Peckham High Street..
It shelters soapbox freedom of speech speakers and choirs..
Is easy to find + SAFE mtg place!

Recent Tweet showed guide dogs struggle trying to understand coloured floors and walked a blind owner into a coloured cycle path, so all-in a perfect design for a council that cdn’t careless about PSED. @lb_southwark @kieronjwilliams
Is this a good idea, a bad idea or a poor imitation of children’s tv show Rainbow? #Peckham – at Camberwell, London

But it’s like #PeckhamArch over 100 objections to its demolition and seems it’s still going #SavePeckhamArch @SavePeckhamArch apparently. Architects’ views drown out those of local ‘Peckhamites’
