Sad news: Cinépolis La Costa Paseo Real in Carlsbad is permanently closing. This was one of @CinepolisUSA’s first locations in the United States. 😢
Breaking: The creative director of Picturehouse Cinemas in the UK compares the excitement surrounding You Can See Everything to Barbie. Could this movie hit $1 billion? 🤔
Pacific Theaters Chatsworth. It opened in 1998 and permanently shut down in 2020. It had over 20 screens, with some over 79 feet wide! It was the largest movie theater complex in the valley! It was one of four theaters in the United States to show The Phantom Menace on a digital projector. The theater has since been demolished to make way for a Tesla delivery center.
Arclight Cinemas Sherman Oaks. I still think about you. Anyone else? @ArcLightCinemas
It's a Monday. Nearly every showing of You Can See Everything is sold out at AMC Theaters in Century City, Burbank 16, Grove... This is insane. Even the afternoon showings...
I think it’s time for You Can See Everything to get an IMAX and Dolby Cinema release! This is clearly the most popular movie of the year and is destined to win multiple Academy Awards. Let’s make it happen, @A24 @IMAX @nathanfielder! 🙌
The historic Directors Village Theatre in Westwood has shut down again for the foreseeable future. There’s currently no timeline for when major renovations will begin, but plans include three new theaters, a restaurant, bars, a rooftop patio, and a new elevator. The renovation permits have yet to be approved, and the project still requires review by the Cultural Heritage Commission. Can this all be done by 2027? We will see.....
Over the past three years, Nathan Fielder secretly earned his pilot’s license, made Season 2 of The Rehearsal, and created a masterpiece of a documentary about Elizabeth Holmes. Makes you wonder what he’s working on right now that none of us know about. 🤔
Developing: Filmmaker John Wilson was reportedly invited by Harry Styles to make a documentary about his concert residency at Madison Square Garden. 👀🎞️

couldn’t agree more. best doc of 26’
I was struck by lightning. You Can See Everything quite literally changed my life. It elevates the medium of documentary filmmaking to a level cinema has never reached before. The film operates like a magic trick combined with a quantum mechanics experiment, such as Schrödinger's cat, unfolding in real time. It will make you question your sanity. It explores concepts of reality and the simulacrum discussed by philosopher Jean Baudrillard. I'll be heading back to the cinema this weekend to experience it again. This is a historic achievement by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. Go in blind and watch it with a packed audience.
