There is a lot of evidence to suggest that @IndiGo6E is doing this purposely because you can reduce aircraft turnaround time if you use both exits for deboarding and boarding at a remote bay. Also saves them money and they care about that, more than passenger comfort unfortunately!

In 1985, when I was in the final year of engineering at REC (now NIT) Trichy, I spent the summer working on the sound for my dad’s Tamil feature film, Unnidathil Naan at AVM RR Theatre. Little did I know that this experience would completely change the trajectory of my life!
