If your degree didn’t give you a clear professional identity, go write CIS.
You’ll thank your future self for it.
And yes, you should come back to say thank you too. 😉
Manchester United is starting to look like IBM.
A once-dominant brand struggling to find its footing in a changing world.
The big question is: Can United reinvent itself before its past becomes its biggest asset?
With all the buzz about stock market, you'd think equity stakes are high.
This data was the subject of my team's meeting this week & the behaviour of Nigerians regarding investments.

Exactly this. Savings interest is pegged to a slice of MPR, cancelled if you withdraw a 4th time, and then charges eat what's left. Sweep idle cash into an SEC-licensed money market fund, and compare yields after fees, not the headline rate.
When Trust is Repaid
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of receiving a courtesy visit from Ike Chioke, Group Managing Director of @Afrinvest.
A few years after the 2008 global financial crisis, which tested the resilience of many businesses, including Afrinvest, I made an unsolicited investment of $1 million in the company.

One of my biggest underrated strengths is my power of observation.
It has saved me from the wrong people and helped me move ahead in life.
I observe, connect patterns and draw conclusions.
And I'm right 99.999999% of the time. 😂
Why do people knowingly commit their entire lives to a system they already know may not reward them fairly?
Always remember that you have options. There is almost always another way.
What you don't want to do is trade away your options until you have none left.
Options are a form of wealth. Protect them.
Congratulations to everyone who aced the September CIS exams! 🎉
If you're not there yet, keep pushing.
Your time will come. Don't give up!
It gives me so much joy to receive DMs saying:
“Thank you so much. I passed my CIS Level 1!”
“I passed Level 2!”
Knowing that my little contributions are making a difference in someone's journey makes it all worthwhile.

While trust and cultural factors could be contributing factors,I think poverty is the chief culprit here.
A handful of people who can afford to pay for them don't see a need to do so. An average Nigerian will prefer to cover his car with the blood of jesus than insure it
Is there a universe where Nigerians willingly buy insurance to protect themselves against life's risks?
Health insurance seems to be the exception. Most other policies are driven by legal or contractual requirements.
Is it a cultural problem, a trust problem, or are we simply too poor to afford insurance?
