A friend of mine (i won't name him) has been working hard on his animation projects over the years. Occasionally question if its even worth it. Being the harshest judge on his own work & calling it crap. Just want to remind you all that he, you (and I) are not the only ones who feel this sometimes. I think its important to keep your reasons in sight. This type of work is so taxing and a difficult journey. But getting to see your imagination come to life is such a reward in itself. Don't compare your work to other's unless you're studying how to improve. Dont' be so hard on yourselves to make something amazing. But yes, strive to make something amazing, because who doesn't want to that? We shouldn't settle for where we are creatively. I feel my words probably don't hold a lot of weight anymore since I haven't put much of my personal work out there in a long time, but I do mean it when I say keep having fun with whatever you're doing. Its important. Its ok to lose inspiration and feel a loss of motivation. Happens to everyone. It's not a sign you should ever quit. You just need to recharge & get re-acquainted with your first love for the art (the reason you started in the first place). Why am i sharing all of this? i dont know. Maybe also a note to self. Any time i give some kind of advice or try to encourage, I know I'm on the same boat. This dark and broken world needs more cool things, so keep creating
