Red Bull have made changes to the flexible silicone boots around the suspension ends. These are often 3D printed and bonded into the carbon fibre, to seal and streamline the opening in the outer brake duct. Being elastomer, they flex/crease with movement #F1 #F1tech #AustinGP

#MV3 was complaining of stiffness in the steering, this could be the in steering rack or column. The column is in 2 pieces with joints to transfer the motion. Cars no longer use universal joints, due to the stop start motion, but instead use CV joints. #F1 #F1tech #AustinGP

To check the effect of the new floor changes, they've fitted an aero rake downstreamin front of the rear tyres. This maps a slice of the airflow to be compared to CFD results. An aero rake is just an array of pressure sensors. #F1 #TechTalk #AustinGP #COTA #USGP

I've been meaning to try this ( 😉 @MarkLaneF1) If you mark an arrow where every kiel probe goes on an #F1 aero rake. You'll get a map of the airflow directions and what area the teams are focussing on. #Interesting #F1Tech
