ME AND THE MYSTERIOUS FISHERMAN 🎣🌊
One morning, I went to the river to fetch water when I met an old fisherman sitting quietly beside his canoe. He looked poor, but there was something strange about him.
I greeted him, and he smiled before saying, “My child, never judge a person by what you see.”
I laughed and asked him what he meant.
He told me that for twenty years, he had been fishing in that river, but nobody knew his real story. He said he had once been a wealthy man who lost everything because he trusted the wrong people.
I felt sorry for him and started bringing him food whenever I visited the river.
One day, I arrived and found a crowd gathered around his house. To my greatest surprise, expensive cars were parked outside, and people were calling him Chief!
I stood there in confusion. The poor fisherman everyone ignored was actually a wealthy businessman who had been living a simple life after returning to his hometown.
When he saw me, he called me forward and said, “You were kind to me when you thought I had nothing. Today, I will never forget your kindness.”
That day, I learned a lesson I will never forget: Never look down on anyone because you don’t know the story behind their struggles..
Sometimes, the person you help today may be the person God uses to change your tomorrow..
If you were in my position, would you have helped the fisherman even when you thought he was poor? ❤️🎣

“Dime que no has dejado de pensar en mí”.
Eso fue lo primero que dijo Adrián cuando entré en su habitación de hotel.
Me reí nerviosamente. “Me invitaste para hablar, ¿recuerdas?”
“Lo sé. Estoy intentando portarme bien”.
“Te he echado de menos”, susurró.

I (26M )hadn’t spoken honestly with my father about my sexuality in years.
He knew I was gay, but whenever the subject came up, he changed it.
So when he called me on Tuesday, I expected another awkward conversation.
Dad: “Come over for dinner on Saturday. Bring David.”
I nearly dropped my phone.
David (27M )was my boyfriend of eighteen months.
Me: “Why David?”
Dad: “Because I invited him.”
Me: “Dad, did something happen?”
Dad: “Must something happen before I can feed my son and his partner?”
I didn’t know what to say.
That evening, I told David about the invitation.
David: “Maybe he’s trying.”
Me: “Or maybe he’s planning an intervention with better food.”
David laughed, but I could see he was nervous too.
For the rest of the week, I kept wondering what my father wanted to say.
By Saturday evening, I was about to find out.

HOLLYWOOD MADE MATT DALLAS A HEARTTHROB, THEN MADE HIM FEEL ASHAMED OF WHO HE WAS.
Matt Dallas became a star on Kyle XY, but behind the scenes, he was reportedly being advised to hide his sexuality, work with a speech coach, and bring a woman to red carpets to maintain his image.
Imagine being in your early 20s, finally achieving your dreams, only to feel that being yourself could destroy everything you worked for.
In 2019, Dallas admitted that the damage stayed with him for years. He would still catch himself thinking he sounded or acted "too gay" because those ideas had been drilled into his mind.
He came out in 2013, married Blue Hamilton in 2015, and built the family life he wanted, raising two children together.
The controversial part? Hollywood was happy to profit from his heartthrob image, but apparently, his authentic self wasn't considered marketable enough.
Years later, Dallas admitted he wished he had never taken that advice.

My parents disowned me for refusing to pay for my sister's wedding. Three weeks later, they discovered why I was the last person they should have betrayed.
I'm 31, and I've spent most of my life being the responsible child in my family.
My younger sister, Emily, has always been the golden child.
When I graduated, I paid my own bills. When Emily graduated, my parents bought her a car.
When I got promoted, my mother barely reacted. When Emily quit her job after four months, my father praised her for following her dreams.
I stopped complaining years ago. I built my career, bought a house, and kept my finances private.
Then Emily got engaged.
She wanted a luxury venue, a designer dress, and a destination honeymoon. The wedding budget was $65,000.
My parents offered $10,000. Her fiancé's parents offered $15,000.
That left $40,000.
Guess who they expected to pay the difference?
Me.

Wife: “My husband bought a house with money his father gave him, and now he says I have no claim to it.”
Judge: “When was the house purchased?”
Wife: “Three years into our marriage.”
Judge: “And whose name is on the deed?”
Wife: “His.”
Husband: “Because I paid for it.”
Wife: “With money you received while we were married.”
Judge: “Where did the money come from?”
Husband: “My father sold his business and gave me $250,000 to buy a property.”
Judge: “Was it a loan?”
Husband: “No. It was a gift specifically to me.”
Judge: “Did your father give your wife any money?”

A woman had just pushed a whole human being out of her body when her husband made a request that left the medical team staring at him.
“Doctor, please, can you put in an extra stitch? You know, to make her tighter.”
He wasn’t joking. He genuinely wanted us to alter his wife’s body after childbirth for his sexual satisfaction.
I looked at him and asked, “Sir, is it really that small that you’re worried about it?”
That man went so quiet you’d think someone had switched off his microphone. 😭😂
But let me be serious for a moment.
This is what some women are expected to deal with after childbirth…

I booked a hotel room with an ocean view for my anniversary trip, but when I arrived, the receptionist asked if I would be willing to give it up for another guest.
She explained that a family had arrived late, and their elderly mother was uncomfortable with the room they had been assigned. Apparently, they wanted my room because it was closer to the elevator and had a better view.
I asked whether the hotel planned to offer me the same type of room in return.
She hesitated before explaining that the only available alternative was a standard room facing the parking lot.
I told her I was sorry, but I had specifically paid extra for the ocean view. I had chosen the hotel for that reason, and I didn’t want to downgrade.
She said she understood and went back to her computer.
About ten minutes later, a woman approached me in the lobby…

Three months later, a team leader position opened.
I'd already been doing half the job without the title or extra pay.
I applied.
A week later, I discovered Daniel had gotten the position.
Daniel.
The same man whose mistakes I'd spent two years correcting.
I walked into Richard's office.
Me: “Can I ask why Daniel got the promotion?”
Richard: “He's shown strong leadership potential.”
Me: “I've trained new employees, managed difficult clients, and kept this department running.”
Richard: “And we appreciate that.”
Me: “Then why wasn't I considered?”
Richard leaned back in his chair.
Richard: “You're too important in your current position. Promoting you would leave a gap we can't afford right now.”
I stared at him.
Me: “So doing excellent work is the reason I'm being held back?”
Richard: “Don't look at it that way. You're a valuable part of this team.”
I walked out without another word.
That evening, my wife noticed I hadn't touched my dinner.
Wife: “What's wrong?”
Me: “They promoted Daniel.”
Wife: “The guy whose work you keep fixing?”
I nodded.
She put down her fork.
Wife: “When are you going to realize that being needed isn't the same as being valued?”
I couldn't answer.
