2 Chainz & Statik Selektah tapped into a sound that’s been missing for way too long. Tit sounds PERFECT over this instrumental. Pure luxury. That smooth, soulful, player feel. Can't wait to hear this album...

got these demons sorted out… sort of not… borderline disorders not in order that’s before the shot… Hol it pop, had to keep it going cuz the show don’t stop

But now it’s here, the time is now, cuz time’ll never turn around… Full speed, light the sound, soul can feel it by the pound… Flow natural, God given, hard living turned to lessons then to blessings….

It’s members only, the descendants had me sent for this… It’s only right I’m meant for this, did life with all these sentences… Written in these broken scriptures, pictures of my yesteryears… Best is here, never doubted that, but had to question fear….

Cuz when I’ve listened God has told me what I’m here to do… Been running from it, I don’t want it, yes I do, but can’t confront it… I gave my life to this, the sacrifice was sacrilege… I sat back and remember this… September’s where the members sit…

For years, I focused on writing the words and finding the right beat to bring them to life. Now I’m learning to build the sound myself, too. It’s a different kind of creative freedom when you can shape the music and the words.

Chicago hip-hop was changing in real time in 2012. Digital Freshness at Beauty Bar was one of those nights. @chancetherapper @VicMensa @GLCtheism @SirMichaelRocks @Naledgesince82 @YP27 @JUICE4real — and I was there as Scheme. 14 years later, I still have the footage. 💎
