Statement from #Colts QB Anthony Richardson Sr.âs agent:
âWe ask that everyone allow the facts and legal proceedings to take their course before drawing conclusions. Anthony remains focused on his responsibilities, his family and his future!â â> nytimes.com/athletic/7717192âŚ
Just an awful, awful look.
The Knicks' assistant coaches did not receive their championship rings during Tuesday's ceremony, despite being handed ring boxes, according to league sources.
Many longtime employees at Madison Square Garden will not receive rings at all, per team sources.
Those employees got their hopes up in late September, when they were sent a fake championship ring offer as part of a phishing test.

Very sad news to share: 1990 Cincinnati Reds World Champion Todd Benzinger passed away at the age of 63, @WLWT has learned.
The New Richmond H.S. grad caught the final out of the â90 World Series, made Cincinnati his home, and was very involved with Reds community events. RIP.
Cool to see a noticeable amount of Pacers jerseys in the stands at road venues. Still getting used to that.
Edge absolutely rules and this city is lucky to get to claim him as one of their own.
Edgerrin James says that he used his first NFL signing bonus to buy two rundown buildings in a drug-affected neighborhood in his hometown and turn them into a recreational center for local kids
âI mean, itâs appropriate. You know, them things youâre supposed to do. Thatâs your way of really giving back and helping and showing. You can help a lot of people by making one move. One move can change the structure of so many other kids. Like right now, from Immokalee, we got four guys thatâs in the NFL right now, and those same four guys used to come to that same building that we opened up and that we had around. And it was actually pretty cool to actually see that, you know, they were a part of it.â
âExactly. And thatâs what itâs about. Youâre showing them that itâs possible, and thatâs part of my whole MO, man. Like, look, Iâm going to come across as normal, and Iâm going to do all the same things yâall do. So Iâm showing you that itâs possible. Right now, you got to dig into it a little bit more to say, âOkay, what separated me from them?â And thatâs when that discipline and that hard work and really knowing what itâs going to take, or doing what itâs going to take, to get there.â
âYeah, you got D.J. Swearinger, you got Mackensie Alexander, you got DâErnest Johnson that played for the Cleveland Browns, and then you got the Pro Bowler, J.C., that played for the New England Patriots. You know, all four of those kids, they used to be around. Theyâre all out of Immokalee, and thatâs what itâs about. To have kids thatâs in the community that actually see you do what you do, and they follow in those footsteps.â
âI got a million names from them. They actually make you feel old. Like, they really the ones that make you feel old. And then you go back, you go through some of the pictures, and you see the kids out there doing what they were doing. Like, dang, Iâve really been around a long time. And to see J.C. go to the Pro Bowl, youâre like, man, I watched this kid from birth. But itâs a good feeling to know that you got people coming from your area that you inspired.â

Good leadership here from the Colts' best player this season
"You have to take responsibility... The success of coaches, general managers... is riding in some part on you."

Major positive update for Butler on the injury front. Jalen Jackson is considered day-to-day after his injury over the weekend, while Samu Adler has been fully cleared to practice.
Couldnât have asked for a better update.
Something I'm having trouble with is everyone bringing up a "long" rebuild. Will it be long? Maybe! But it's already been long.
Colts will be six seasons past their last playoff berth and eight from the last playoff win. It's not like they're flushing The Good Old Days here.
I get rebuilds are tough, but the one thing you have to give your fans is hope and the Colts haven't consistently provided that in a long time.
4-13 is better than 8-9 if there is hope attached to the former and not the latter.

As I mentioned in my Substack column, I am pretty damned certain that Peyton has no interest in saving the day back in Indy. Might they reach out to get his thoughts? Absolutely. They should. But based on what I know (and @mchappell51 had this first), Peyton has no interest.

A sorry era for this franchise is over, one that became mind-numbingly stale and sucked the life out of the fanbase.
Chris Ballard's tenure started with promise. In the end, it never delivered.
