My tribute to the wonderful PhD students with whom I’ve worked is to add their diss. seminar trifold to the “shelf of scholars” in my office. CONGRATS to Dr. Sherryl Henderson for defending her thesis this morning!! I am proud to call you my colleague and friend. @MizzouBiology
When you decide to walk to work because it’s a beautiful morning, @SpotifyUSA‘s algorithm kicks you into ad free listening, you stop to admire how pretty your town is and as you snap a pic an email comes in canceling the only meeting on your calendar? Yeah. Now that’s a morning.
I am so proud to have been a part of Joe Viteri’s PhD at @MizzouBiology. He’s a remarkable scholar and an even finer person. Congrats on your successful thesis defense!!! Tradition for me is to include the seminar flyer among the MU Bio mugs in my office and it never gets old.
Happy to share a new study accepted in @JNeurophysiol by postdoc @BentonBerigan in collaboration with @mizzouengineer Ilker Ozden's lab. These are some of the 1st ensemble recordings of neurons in pelvic ganglia of live mice via miniscope Ca2+ imaging adapted for peripheral NS.
Just want to congratulate my @MizzouBiology colleagues in the lab (Sherryl, Joe, Arturo, and Benton) on four exceptional posters and their hard work putting them together and presenting them at #SfN2022. Awesome work.
As a grad student at @UofIllinois watching my talented colleagues try to unravel the working of mushroom bodies in honey bees, I could never have even remotely conceived of what @ScottishWaddell is showing at #SfN2022 as the state of this field only 25 years later.
If you’re interested #neuroscience, but love #Biology, maybe our program is for you. @MizzouBiology is recruiting PhD students interested in neuro, but want to study it in the context of the natural world. Maybe we’re the right mix for you. I’m at #SfN2022 if you have questions!
The last of our contributions to the STG meeting was a really nice datablitz talk given by PREP scholar Arturo Rosete. We love this collaboration with Karen Mesce at Univ of MN. Nice work, Art!
Interloper alert! The kind people of the STG community let us show some of our mouse work. Grateful to have this group of scholars to continue to make science worth doing. Here,@MizzouBiology postdoc Benton Berigan is showing work on calcium imaging of mouse peripheral ganglia.
The STG meeting lives on as an informal satellite to the SfN meeting…and @MizzouBiology PhD student Joe Viteri gave a killer talk on his work. Grateful to see this meeting return in person. #STG #SfN2022
