Seriously, though, IV NAD has been used to treat addiction for decades, and people swear by it, but I've seen no research comparing whether it works better than available NAD boosters. You'd think that kind of research would be warranted before a $5M spend to develop a new drug.

It has been more than two years since scientists told us that vitamin B3 could treat sepsis. Since then, we have helped a lot of septic rodents. Now the CDC is trying to take sepsis more seriously. scienceofnad.com/post/sepsis…

NR supplementation blunts Th1 and Th17 immune responsiveness in healthy volunteers and in psoriasis. The concept is now being explored in vivo, where mild to moderate psoriasis patients are being investigated in a placebo-controlled study. https:// cell.com/cell-reports-medici…

Indiscriminately reproducing falsehoods on social media is harmful. We all make mistakes, though, so if someone points out that you have posted a conclusion disclaimed by the study's most prominent author, the proper response would be to say thank you, not to block the messenger.

"We have demonstrated a time-of-day dependent response to NAD+ therapy." Clinical trials that report conflicting results from NAD treatment mostly overlook the time of drug intake. Proposed: time of treatment dictates the amplitude of metabolic benefits. reddit.com/r/NicotinamideRib…

Likely cause (from the study): "The conversion of NMN to NR is essential for it to act as extracellular precursor of intracellular NAD + in HEK293 cells. The extra step in cellular entrance for NMN might be the reason of its less efficient DNA damage protection."
