😱 Colorado Democrats are ONE seat away from a two-thirds supermajority in both chambers.
House: they hold 43 of 65. Two-thirds is 44.
Senate: they hold 23 of 35. Two-thirds is 24.
With two-thirds, they can send constitutional amendments to your ballot and override vetoes without a single @cologop vote. Here's what the insiders are watching, and what most people are missing. 🧵
1.These seats are decided by a handful of votes.
HD 16 in Colorado Springs was decided by 3 votes in 2024.
Three.
HD 19 (Frederick/Weld) by 110.
HD 50 (Greeley/Fort Lupton) by 563.
If you think your ballot doesn't matter, it does.
2.The money tells you where the war is.
Outside groups have already poured hundreds of thousands into a short list of state Senate seats: SD 30 in Highlands Ranch, SD 3 in Pueblo @dana4colorado and SD 15 in Loveland @SenatorWoodward
SD 30 @Sen_John_Carson is Democrats' top Senate target this year.
3.Congress is in play too.
National Democrats have put all four of Colorado's Republican-held House seats on their target list: CD-3, CD-4, CD-5 and CD-8.
They're openly saying Douglas County is their way into CD-4.
@RepBoebert @RepJeffHurd @RepJeffCrank @repgabeevans
4.The voter rolls are shifting under everyone's feet.
Unaffiliated voters decide Colorado now. Period. Final 2026 primary returns show that of unaffiliated voters who picked a party ballot, 72% chose the Democratic ballot and 28% the Republican one
A Republican has to win unaffiliated voters by about 8 points to win statewide. That's a 24-point swing from the primary split.
If unaffiliated voters vote 70/30 Democrat in November, Republicans lose a statewide race by about 510,000 votes, roughly 19 points.
To win, a Republican needs about 1.33 million votes. At 70/30 they'd get about 1.08 million, so roughly 255,000 voters have to switch sides.
5.CO Republicans need to vote - 75% turn out ain’t gonna cut it this year. The fight is the Republicans who skip midterms and the unaffiliated voters who lean our way. Get them, and these seats hold.
6.The calendar is already running. Ballots are going out now.
Oct. 26 is the last day it's safe to mail your ballot back. After that, use a drop box.
Bottom line: the supermajority isn't decided at the top of the ticket. It's decided in a few neighborhoods in Highlands Ranch, Colorado Springs, Weld County and Pueblo, by a few hundred people who either return their ballot or don't.
Return yours. Then make sure your neighbors return theirs.

THANK YOU @JenaGriswold for sending my 12-year long-dead uncle his 2026 election ballot last week! I'm honored that you think I can talk his cremated remains into voting. Ballots 12 years after death should be impossible in Colorado, but here we are.

Same way metal shavings get into Wendy’s buns, malfeasance. Companies put profits above safety daily if you’ve worked an industrial job you know it too even retail like a grocery store. Likely something happened in India or wherever they made the pills that weren’t caught.

In the theatre of existence, niceness is the applause of the crowd: fleeting and conditional. Goodness is fidelity to principle, even when the stage empties and the cost is steep.
A man who clings only to pleasantness betrays his honor. True virtue demands the ancient courage: to live with integrity, and if necessary, to die with it intact.
Young men, remember: a life without honor is merely prolonged survival.

Why did C.S. Lewis say that Hell is locked from the inside?
He explores this idea in his book The Great Divorce.
In it, souls of the damned are allowed to visit heaven on a bus ride, but they are not pleased with what they see — and they leave of their own accord.
The fact is, the damned cannot touch Heaven. They can't so much as disturb the dew drops on the grass. Nor can they even gaze upon the garden properly.
Why? Because they are blinded by their own sins:
– The philosopher would rather philosophize about God than meet him
– The painter would rather make beautiful art than gaze upon the source of all Beauty
– The clingy mother would rather fret over her son than give her full love to God
Lewis' point is that God cannot force man into salvation. Damnation is not God's rejection of man, but God tragically accepting man's rejection of him.
Hell itself is the ultimate monument to human freedom; for a human with true free will is even free to divorce himself with paradise.
What Lewis suggests is that you don't fully understand human nature until you understand that some humans really do not want paradise.
Conversely then, true freedom does not mean using your free will however you want. True freedom means surrendering your free will by forming your soul to the Good.
By sacrificing your free will in this manner, you gain glory, virtue, and happiness — for man was made to know and love virtue above all.

COVID lockdowns were a live-action Stanford Prison Experiment.
No basement. No fake prison. No coin flip to decide who gets the uniform.
Just a press conference, an emergency declaration, and a world that divided itself, almost overnight, into guards and prisoners.
In 1971, Philip Zimbardo took 24 ordinary college students. Psychologically screened. Emotionally stable. Good people.
He gave half of them guard uniforms and sunglasses. The other half, prison smocks and chains.
The experiment was supposed to run two weeks.
He shut it down after six days.
The “guards” had become cruel. Psychologically tormenting prisoners. Inventing humiliating rules. Enforcing them with genuine enthusiasm.
The “prisoners” had broken. Stopped using their real names. Forgotten they could simply walk out.
Nobody told the guards to be brutal. The role did.
Nobody told the prisoners to lose themselves. The situation did.
Now look at 2020.
Within weeks, entire categories of identity were created. Essential. Non-essential. Compliant. Denier.
Neighbors reported neighbors for sitting in their own gardens. Police issued fines for walking alone on empty beaches. Local officials, suddenly intoxicated with emergency powers, closed playgrounds, taped off park benches, and enforced rules that existed nowhere in law.
And the medical establishment?
Doctors who spent careers advocating for patient autonomy began enforcing mandates without questioning them. Hospital administrators banned family from dying relatives and called it protocol. Nurses filmed themselves doing choreographed dances in empty wards while patients died alone.
The uniform changed. The behavior followed.
The terrifying lesson of Stanford wasn’t that evil people do evil things.
It was that ordinary people, given a role, a structure, an institutional justification, will do things they would never otherwise consider.
And feel righteous doing it.
The situation didn’t reveal character. It replaced it.
This is what power does when it goes unchecked. It doesn’t need monsters. It just needs roles. Rules. A chain of command. Language that makes obedience sound like responsibility.
“We’re just following the science.”
Zimbardo followed his experiment too. Right off a cliff.
The most dangerous moment in any crisis is when ordinary people stop asking whether what they’re doing is right and start asking whether it’s authorized.
Your conscience doesn’t clock out because the institution told you to comply.
It never did. It never should.

According to the Colorado voter roll, there are NINE active-status registered voters in this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in Las Animas county, plus 14 other inactive-status registrants who apparently lived there until failry recently. The (alleged) current occupants are males aged 30, 38, 39, 53 and 83, and females aged 52, 54, 56 and 78. The assessor's office shows that the 83 and 78 y.o. individuals jointly own the property.
Everyone else apparently shares the other two bedrooms. (I bet meals and bathroom visits are fun.)
Nothing suspicious from a voter roll perspective going on here at all ... Jenna Griswold is on top of things.

Reminder, we need to follow @Erin4Parents model and #PetitionTheHellOutOfColorado . The target should be 50 ballot initiatives every cycle to unwind every evil law, the bogus fees, and the assault on Tabor. Doing 50 at once is easier than doing 1 or 3.

Hey guys, my husband and I run a small woodworking business called The Patriot Shack as “The J6 Couple.”
For the last several months we’ve been struggling badly and have kept the reason very private.
I won’t get into details, but our daughter has been in and out of the hospital. This has hit us hard with both time and finances.
We’re asking for PRAYERS first and foremost. We’re also asking ANYONE AND EVERYONE to SHARE our website and posts about the pieces we make.
If you feel led to support us, please visit our site in the comments and make a purchase.
We’ve fallen behind, but we’re working hard to get back on track.
THANK YOU ALL! 🙏🏼

It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd logs in
There's an autist Tweetin' next to me
Sendin' poasts to his groupchat within
He says, "Son can you find me a banger Tweet?
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's true and it's elite and I knew it complete
When I read a Hakan man's poasts"
La, la-la, di-di-da
La-la di-di-da da-dum
Send us a Tweet, you're the Twitter man
Send us a Tweet tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a banger Tweet
And you've got us feelin' alright
Now Cimm on his phone is a friend of mine
He likes my tweets for free
And he’s quick with a bird, or some of his words
But there’s some place that he’d rather be
He says, Man, I believe this is killing me
As the views drain away from his page
Well I know I’d go viral someday
If Elon’d let me out of this place
Oh, la, la-la, di-di-da
La-la di-di-da da-dum
Now Chadicus was a Twitter novelist
Online in search of a wife
And he’s talkin’ with Achilles, and his mulatto kiddies
And he will regret his whole life
And E-girls are practicing politics
As the greek statues slowly get doxxed
Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness
But it's better than Tweetin' alone
It's a pretty good Tweet for a Saturday
And the GC gives me a smile
'Cause they knows that it's me who's been reading their tweets
To forget about life for a while
And the TL lights up like a carnival
The replies can’t tell if I’m sincere
But they put a few back and subscribe to my ‘stack
I think this is the poast of the year
