OTD in 2011, the greatest baseball game ever played.
Happy Game 6 anniversary to all who celebrate
The quirks of the schedule: As it turns out, if Mizzou plays Mississippi State any later in the second half of the season, they likely win. Would be 6-1 right now headed to Arkansas in the thick of the playoff race. Alas…
Breaking: Mississippi State star QB Kamario Taylor will miss the rest of the season with a toe injury that is expected to require surgery, sources tell @PeteThamel.
Taylor is expected to make a full recovery.
That’s fine. Brewers didn’t want to win 10-0. Last time they won a #WorldSeries game by that score, things didn’t work out too well for them.
All of the sudden, the Padres are looking pretty doggone good. Actually won a postseason game against the Brewers.

So great to spend some time with C this weekend! While we really miss having a kid at the beautiful campus of Miami University, it is admittedly quite nice to have her less than two hours away in Toledo!

If you’re of a certain age, you probably still believe this is what Saturday afternoons should sound like. And you’re right.

Amazing Stats:
In 1985 (including the postseason), John Tudor pitched more than 7 innings on 23 occasions. In the 42.1 IP he had in the 8th inning or later, he had a 0.85 ERA.
And before WS Game 7, he was 8-1 with a 0.97 ERA when pitching on 3 days rest!

Only two #MarqueeMatchups this weekend between ranked opponents…
#MailDay-3 Things:
1) Arrived a couple months late after being lost in the mail.
2) Guessing the seller never would’ve guessed which cards were going to actually move this lot.
3) Wondering if there are any 1985 Topps Mike Scioscia/Rafael Santana #OneCardCollections out there.
Let’s say we call the 1985 #WorldSeries a best of five, okay?

The #StLCards push their lead in the #WorldSeries to 3-1 behind a gem from ace, John Tudor…
