YaYa Diaby? 🤔
The Seahawks could continue to be active at the trade deadline, per @JFowlerESPN
“Seattle has already made a move with the deal for Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson. Edge rusher and running back are positions Seahawks GM John Schneider could monitor, as well.”

Interesting. Quenton Nelson wanted to be traded to a contender and chose Seattle, which offered less draft compensation than other teams who were interested. Good on the Colts organization for doing right by him.

I'm still buzzing. Literally.
Of all the Seahawks trades in history, this one has a chance to be at the very top of the list.
To get a HOF player in his prime at a position of need, without mortgaging the entire farm, is something I'm still trying to wrap my head around.
I try not to live in a fantasy football mentality world, so I really didn't think this could or would happen. It's surreal that Quenton Nelson is a Seahawk.
And knowing John, and that organization, and Mike, and what's they've built - my gut tells me they'll get him signed.
This is an incredible move.
I can't wait to see what this offense looks like with Charbonnet and Price behind that OL.
Would Cross-Nelson-Sundell-Zabel-Lucas be the best starting offensive line of the John Schneider era?

Got a lot of Seahawks fans asking me today: "Is Nelson still playing really well this year?"
BREAKING: The #Colts are trading 8× Pro Bowl G Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per @AdamSchefter.
Nelson, one of the best guards in football, joins a 4-3 #Seahawks team in a major trade.
49ers desperately trying to keep up with the Seahawks
The Colts continue to make moves, sending DT DeForest Buckner back to the San Francisco 49ers, sources tell @TheAthletic. It's a 2027 fourth rounder heading to Indy in exchange for Buckner, San Francisco's 2016 first-round pick.

Here's something I wrote about the Seahawks trading for Quenton Nelson this season.
Oh, I wrote this in May, by the way.

In '23, Seahawks GM John Schneider traded for Leonard Williams on Oct 30
In '24, he traded for Ernest Jones
In '25, the RD2 from DK trade was used to move up for Nick Emmanwori + Seahawks made deadline trade for Rashid Shaheed
Now, a trade for Q
Schneider = all gas, no brakes

just need to watch a couple clips of Nelson blocking on outside zone to see why the Seahawks wanted him
only Chicago and Atlanta have run outside zone more this season
Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

I LOVE this move for SEA. They should live in 13 personnel, let this OL get after it in the run game and create 1-1 for JSN in passing game.

Seattle had three 3rd round picks in the 2027 draft. This feels like a huge bargain.
Trade! The Colts are sending eight-time Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.
The Chiefs offensive success rate in Weeks 1-6:
49.8% (2nd best)
The Chiefs offensive success rate in Week 7 versus the Seahawks:
36.7% (3rd worst)
Totally forgot there was a football game on tonight. Let me guess, even the Eagles offense is able to move the ball on this atrocious Dallas defense, and the Cowboys offense is making it look way harder than it needs to be but their skill position talent is makes up for it?

This is painful, as a #Texans fan, watching this Seahawks defense excel. Last season, the Texans and Seahawks were neck and neck for best defense in the sport. This season, they are….. not.
