Aristotle’s most systematic treatment of “goodness” (especially moral goodness) appears in his Nicomachean Ethics. A summary:
1. The Highest Good = Eudaimonia (Human Flourishing / Fulfillment)
• For Aristotle, every action and choice aims at some “good.”
• The ultimate good for human beings is eudaimonia, often translated as “happiness,” but better understood as flourishing, living well, or the fulfilled life.
• Eudaimonia is not mere pleasure or wealth; it is activity of the soul in accordance with complete virtue (aretē) over a complete life (Nicomachean Ethics I.7–10).
2. Virtue (aretē) as the Core of Goodness
• Moral goodness is virtue of character, a settled disposition to feel, choose, and act in the right way, at the right time, toward the right people, for the right reason.
• Virtue is a mean (mesotēs) between excess and deficiency (the “Golden Mean”).
• Courage = mean between rashness and cowardice
• Temperance = mean between self-indulgence and insensibility
• Generosity = mean between prodigality and stinginess
3. How Virtue (and thus Goodness) Is Acquired
• We are not born virtuous or vicious; we become so by habituation (ethos → ethics).
• “We become just by doing just acts, temperate by doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts” (NE II.1).
• Intellectual training and good laws help, but repeated right action is essential.
4. The Role of Reason
• Full human goodness requires both moral virtues (of character) and intellectual virtues (especially phronēsis - practical wisdom).
• Phronēsis is the ability to deliberate well about what is good and advantageous for living a flourishing life.
5. The Contemplative Life as the Highest Form of Goodness
• In Book X of the Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle argues that the very best life is the life of contemplation (theōria), the exercise of reason on the highest objects (the eternal and divine).
• This is the most self-sufficient, most continuous, and most pleasant activity, and it most fully actualizes our highest faculty (nous, intellect).
Key Quotes
• “The good for man is an activity of the soul in accordance with virtue, and if there are several virtues, in accordance with the best and most complete.” (NE I.7, 1098a16–18)
• “Joy is at once the best, the noblest, and the most pleasant of things.” (NE I.8)
• “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
Technology is stronger than us, but not smarter. As long as we have meaning, we are alive. Lose it, and we become code to the algorithms and ratios that are already set to place us in a world where choices are made for us.
You know who you are.

🚨DEAR GOD!!!
Police BEGGED a liberal prosecutor IN WRITING to keep an ILLEGAL ALIEN with 40+ charges locked up...
...he walked ANYWAY then 9 MONTHS later he st*bbed a 41-year-old woman to DE*TH at a bus stop in Virginia.
Meet Abdul Jalloh, 32.
A Sierra Leone national who DHS says was in this country ILLEGALLY.
DHS says he had been arrested MORE THAN 30 TIMES.
7News found MORE THAN 40 CHARGES in Fairfax County alone… ranging from R*PE to ASSAULT.
In almost EVERY SINGLE CASE, Commonwealth's Attorney Steve Descano's office DROPPED THEM.
2018: R@PE — DROPPED
2023: Malicious wounding — DROPPED
2024: Malicious wounding — DROPPED
2024: Steal property from a person — DROPPED
A Fairfax police bond alert said he had over 100 INVOLVEMENTS with the department.
In May 2025, Fairfax County police emailed Descano's office and BEGGED THEM TO KEEP HIM LOCKED UP.
He walked ANWAY.
POLICE WERE LITERALLY WARNING PROSECUTORS THAT THEY BELIEVED THIS MAN WAS GOING TO SERIOUSLY HURT SOMEONE AGAIN.
Just a few months later…
...on February 23, 2026, Stephanie Minter stepped off a bus on Richmond Highway.
Police say Jalloh stepped off that same bus with her.
She was found in the bus shelter with multiple st*b wounds to her upper body.
She passed away right there.
Fairfax County's own POLICE CHIEF, Kevin Davis, says her m*rder was "entirely preventable."
And it wasn't just the county.
ICE says it held Jalloh for 702 days back in 2018… then had to release him after a judge ruled he couldn't be sent back to Sierra Leone.
EVERY LEVEL had a shot at this man.
Now Cheryl Minter, Stephanie's mom, has filed a RECALL PETITION AGAINST THE PROSECUTOR!!!!!
She says she found out AFTER burying her daughter that police had been warning this office about him for months.
Her petition reads: "Thirty times the system had a chance to stop him, and then let him go."
WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!

Rant: Got last minute travel today, so won't be doing a Democracy Files drop today.
But saw that the person at the center of the files posted about "unimaginable horrors."
Let me tell you why I got interested in "democracy" in the first place.
I've told this story many times, but here again: I was DOGE adjacent from the very beginning. I was recruited by several DOGE teams in January 2025, because I was excited about the opportunity to finally cut spending and taming the national debt.
Bu then - Tesla Takedown protests happened. People got so worked up that they were firebombing innocent Tesla owners. A viral website with a Molotov cocktail cursor prominently featured my husband's address. I was doxxed in the middle of that, and forced to flee the state and homeschool my children.
That's when I started researching and writing UNELECTED. I quickly found the groups organizing and funding the civil unrest were all about "democracy." It made no sense to me. DOGE wasn't overturning elections. They were cutting obviously silly awards - given our national deficit, who would object to that?
Silly me!
Turns out "democracy" means diffused rule by unelected people, and all that USAID money going to marginalized groups to build a "civil society" is the foundation of that. So the immune system of "civil unrest" can be activated anytime, and terrorize anyone who dares to step out of line. Such as DOGE employees. Such as me and my family.
That research trail led me all the way to DemAID (now DRG), a group of ex-USAID officers. Led by you and Ro Tucci. @iamlisalogan and @SKDoubleDub33 found DemAID on video taking credit for these protests.
But this isn't about me. This is about the United States. And about the dozens of countries wrecked by color revolutions. You aren't solving polarization. You are the source of polarization, because in the process of building "civil society," you are displacing people's inborn allegiances and training them up to attack the very foundations a nation are founded upon.
Nor is this about revenge or anger. I'm calling on everyone to pray that no more damage is done, and that we can find a path forward that preserves our Constitutional Republic.

“Since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, with the help of countless patriots, I've managed to get 11 professors fired for celebrating Charlie's killing, along with multiple university employees across America. Getting ONE professor is damn near impossible. 11 in one year is insane. Not one time has Jack Posobiec ever tried to help me. Furthermore, several accounts in that orbit on X who claim to be intelligence experts, warfare strategists, America First think tankers, and Nat Sec "geniuses" have never once retweeted any of my academic targets or even bothered to help me. NOT. ONCE.
You know why? Because I'm Jewish and have the nerve to believe Israel has the right to exist. I've been in Islamic shitholes that most of those accounts wouldn't DARE operate in and probably never heard of. I am called in life to defend my Christian brothers and sisters and avenge any of their deaths, yet not ONE of them ever attempted to help me with even a retweet to defend Charlie's honor.
We have a nation to save from the left and only two years left guaranteed to do it. EVERYONE should be joining forces to defeat these godforsaken demons.”
The fact that @TuckerCarlson @JackPosobiec @WilliamWolfe or @CurtMills @Bannons_WarRoom doesn’t share Niz posts is very telling.

Recently I was talking with a guy from the bourgeoisie. Good schools, good job, good manners.
I asked him: "Do you think there are too many people on Earth?"
He said yes. Without a second of hesitation.
I asked him why.
He gave me two reasons. First: there aren't enough resources. Second, and I'm quoting him word for word: "I'm afraid of the masses."
That second sentence chilled me. Because it admits what the first one disguises.
This guy didn't come up with that opinion on his own. Nobody is born a Malthusian. You become one. And this belief has a history, authors, institutions, and funders.
It starts with Thomas Malthus, an English clergyman who argued at the end of the 18th century that population would always grow faster than food, and that famine would take care of the surplus. There were 1 billion of us. Today there are more than 8 billion, and humanity has never eaten better in its entire history.
In 1968, Paul Ehrlich publishes The Population Bomb. He predicts that hundreds of millions of people will starve to death in the 1970s. It doesn't happen. Norman Borlaug and the Green Revolution feed the world. Ehrlich never apologizes, and gets invited on every show for the next fifty years.
In 1972, the Club of Rome, founded by an Italian industrialist and a Scottish scientist, commissions a report from MIT: The Limits to Growth. Computer models, collapse scenarios, resource depletion. The book becomes the bible of an entire generation. Degrowth is its direct descendant.
In 1980, economist Julian Simon makes a bet with Ehrlich: the price of five metals, chosen by Ehrlich himself, will fall within ten years. By 1990, all five had fallen. Simon wins. Why? Because a human being is not a mouth to feed. A human being is a brain that solves problems. The ultimate resource is us.
Fifty years later, the story hasn't changed. It just changed outfits. It's no longer "there won't be enough wheat," it's "your child has a carbon footprint." Studies get published explaining that not having children is the most ecological thing you can do. People discuss it at Davos, between two private jets.
Bill Gates said it himself on the TED stage in 2010. He presents an equation to bring CO2 emissions down to zero, and the first term of that equation is P. People. He then explains that with vaccines, healthcare, and reproductive health, we could lower population projections by 10 to 15%. Nobody is talking about killing anyone. It's more subtle, and in my view more disturbing: a large part of the elite sincerely sees human beings as a variable to be reduced in an equation.
And what happens when a technocratic elite actually takes this dogma all the way? You get China. In the late 1970s, Song Jian, a missile engineer for the regime, discovers the Club of Rome's work, runs his own projections, and convinces the Communist Party. The result: the one-child policy. Hundreds of millions of abortions and sterilizations, many of them forced. Today China sits around 1 child per woman and is set to lose a massive share of its population by the end of the century.
Meanwhile, look at the numbers. South Korea: 0.8 children per woman. Taiwan: 0.7. Spain: 1.1. Japan: 1.14. And France, long the champion of Europe, has dropped to 1.56. In 2025, for the first time since World War II, my country recorded more deaths than births.
Elon Musk has been saying it for years: population collapse is a far bigger danger to civilization than climate change. If people don't have more children, civilization will crumble. Japan will eventually cease to exist if nothing changes. And just yesterday: so many cultures are dying out. People call him alarmist. The curves prove him right.
Now do a simple exercise.
Take all 8 billion humans and pack them into a cube. It would be less than a kilometer on each side. All of humanity, in a volume smaller than a single neighborhood.
Even better: if all of humanity lived at the density of Paris, it would fit in an area smaller than France. The rest of the planet would be empty.
And the next time you fly, look out the window. Paris to San Francisco is hours over Greenland, the Canadian Arctic, deserts, forests, mountains. Emptiness. Thousands of miles without a single light. Cities cover roughly 1% of the Earth's land.
We are not too many. We are tiny.
And above all, we are far too few for what lies ahead.
If we want to leave this cradle, build cities on Mars, mine asteroids, build orbital habitats, and then head for the stars, we won't need 8 billion humans. We'll need a trillion. Just to get started. Every human is a genetic and cultural lottery ticket. The more humans there are, the more Newtons, Pasteurs, and Von Neumanns. The more engineers, builders, artists, and explorers. Genius is a law of large numbers.
So let me be clear.
Everything you think you know about overpopulation is dogma. A dogma born with an English clergyman, turned into equations by the Club of Rome, enforced with a truncheon by the Chinese Communist Party, and recycled today by the degrowth left and the salons of Davos.
It's not science. It's a worldview in which humans are a problem rather than a solution. And behind the resources argument, there is almost always what the guy I was talking to was honest enough to say out loud.
Fear of the masses.
The problem was never that there are too many of us. The problem is that soon there will be too few.

It is because power wants you to believe in the tool they are currently desperate to employ over every system of society.
Words have greater meaning to people than understanding in the general populace.
If it’s “super intelligence” they can use it how they please because it is superior.
If it’s “artificial intelligence” they have to justify it because the general mind rejects it at face value. And the intellectual mind understands it shouldn’t be trusted.
I have no idea why renaming AI is so bizarrely important to Trump. Nobody cares about the name he chose. Nobody is using it or will use it. And it’s not even technically accurate because “super intelligence” already had an agreed upon, widely adopted definition. This is the weirdest political hill to die on. It gains you nothing. Not a single ordinary American in the country, anywhere, cares deeply about making sure people say “SI” instead of “AI.” We are days away from a major election and this bullshit is the focus? Just baffling.

Markey Reveals Color Revolution Plan: Unions & Workers to Shut Down Nation?
Senator Markey must have participated in the organized Ed Holder Election War Game Exercises.
In a interview conducted today, Senator Ed Markey stated that lawyers were already drafting an emergency case to bring before the U.S.
Supreme Court both before and immediately after the election. He added that thousands of lawyers were being prepared for deployment to key polling stations across multiple states.
Markey further said preparations needed to include readiness for a national strike on Election Day, with millions of people taking to the streets to protest what he described as an attempted electoral crime. He specifically called for workers, unions, and businesses to shut down in a manner similar to the response in Minneapolis following the deaths of Alex Freddi and Renee Goode.
Markey argued that the president was growing increasingly desperate because Republican fortunes had slipped, citing repeated visits to Texas to protect an otherwise safe Senate seat and campaigning in historically safe Republican states such as Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa.
The Senator predicted that an anticipated large Democratic victory would prompt some Republicans in the House and Senate to distance themselves from the MAGA agenda rather than become “sacrificial lambs.”
Markey expressed concern that desperation could lead to the deployment of ICE agents or the military, and he said the public mobilization would demonstrate outrage to the Supreme Court if an emergency petition were filed.
This is why voters must choose common sense candidates in this midterm cycle. The modern Jacobins are out for blood, and only a decisive choice at the ballot box can save our republic.

When I tried to find a foundation for these beliefs as an atheist, I was very discouraged. That was the first serious crack in my atheism. I would become a theist two years later, partly because belief in a transcendent Creator solved this problem.
Because Faith, and Belief, are not the same thing.
As a Buddhist would understand one must empty their cup to achieve enlightenment.
Belief is a full cup that never empties itself. Faith is born when one empties their cup and seeks not what they know. But the path that will be laid before them.
That type of phrasing would then place you where?
Your issue James isn’t necessarily that you don’t have a clue what you are talking about.
Your issue is that you think a thing, and then think it also true. Without ever actually proving your work through honest challenge.
Philosophers and great thinkers across all of human history became great because they challenged their own thoughts through discourse.
They understood that for their ideas to be true, they had to prove that Merit under the weight of scrutiny. Defending their ideas and then improving them when they met viable resistance.
It’s easy to think everyone else is stupid when your only challenger is yourself. But then again that makes you dumber than everyone else.
As any thinker of intellect knows that aligns with the definition of insanity.
When you’re actually ready to prove the Merit of your ideas. Instead of frolicking along the wasteland you are currently stranded in.
I’ll be happy to teach you the difference between subjective assumption, and objective application of a contemplative mind.
You are looking at it from your modern morality in a literal sense.
Instead of the reality of man being thrusted into a harsh and unforgiving world with nothing.
We had to learn the meaning of sacrifice. The meaning of survival. The meaning of control. The meaning of our most basest animalistic natures.
We had to take rules from the state of Natural Law. Laws that we had to learn we must rise above. While also having to survive within them.
You have to be able to contemplate this world. Then place yourself in it with nothing. Isolated and surrounded by a hostile nature.
The story of lot for instance is one of a choice of survival. Thinking the world around them was ending. They chose to do what needed to be done to carry on humanity. Procreation must be understood as the ultimate purpose of our existence. As without it, humanity dies.
You must look beyond the wall of comfort. And understand what choices you would be forced to make when the meaning of life is solely survival. That is the teaching of the OT. One we should never forget, so we don’t ever steer toward repeating it.
I started reading the Bible again. By Genesis chapter 13, I feel sick to my stomach.
How does one reconcile Jesus’s teachings with a vengeful God who requires blood sacrifices, accepts slavery (including beating slaves), and allows daughters to rape their fathers?
I ask sincerely: How is any of this okay?

A college student who calls himself a “future scientist” tells Joshua Haymes a baby in the womb is “not a human being yet.”
So Haymes asks him to Google one question: “When does life begin?”
He reads the answer out loud, and the debate is over.
JOSHUA HAYMES: “My proposition is very simple. It is always evil to intentionally kill an innocent human being.”
STUDENT: “It’s not a human being yet.”
JOSHUA HAYMES: “When does human life begin?”
STUDENT: “I think that’s more of a philosophical question… As a future scientist, even.”
JOSHUA HAYMES: “You would say trust the science. You would agree with trust the science?”
STUDENT: “Yeah, I would.”
JOSHUA HAYMES: “Would you agree that it is always evil to intentionally kill an innocent human being?”
STUDENT: “Innocent, yes.”
JOSHUA HAYMES: “Now, you said you trust the science. Will you do me a favor and just look up on your phone right now: according to all of the available scientific data, when does life begin?”
STUDENT: “It says at fertilization or conception.”
That’s the moment his whole argument collapsed.
JOSHUA HAYMES: “This is the consensus of all of the scientific community that life begins at conception. It’s not a future life. It’s a current life… If you trust the science, you have to say we must abolish abortion.”
STUDENT: [laughing] “Aww man…”
He laughs because he knows he just lost. Credit to him for admitting it.
CONTEXT: The science the student looked up is not just a pro-life talking point.
In 2018, a University of Chicago researcher asked 5,577 biologists from 1,058 institutions when a human life begins. 96% said fertilization. Most of them identified as pro-choice.
In 1952, Planned Parenthood’s own pamphlet told women abortion “kills the life of a baby after it has begun.” The biology hasn’t changed since then. The marketing has.

I have spoken out against anti-Muslim hate in the Michigan Senate race. I will speak out just as loudly when the target is Jewish people.
Let me state a little-known fact: ISRAEL GETS LESS THAN 0.1 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL BUDGET. That’s less than one tenth of a percent!
But there is an ad running that tells voters they can’t afford groceries because the United States gives so much money to Israel. In reality, the United States spends money in and on countries all around the world – but this ad singles out the Jewish state. The ad is as dangerous as it is dishonest.
You can disagree with how the United States spends money abroad. But telling hungry families that the Jewish state is the reason they are suffering is wrong and shameful.
Blaming Jews for people’s problems is an old story. Anybody who has read the last century of history knows where it leads. It is a dark pathway.
This ad is anti-Jewish hate and should come down immediately. Abdul El-Sayed should denounce it today.
