The death animations in Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight are hilarious and have quite a memorable quality... A wonderful mix of Barbarian, Monty Python, and a good amount of gore made for some of the most amazing ways to die - at least from a spectator’s perspective. The knight probably didn't feel quite so good about it. Moonstone was originally published by Mindscape 35 years ago, in 1991, and promptly landed on the index in Germany, while it was freely sold in other European countries. It stayed on the German index for the usual 25 years and was removed in 2017. What do we learn from that? Two things: games from the past were more fun, and German indexing was no joke.
