The Highway 7 Rivalry is getting bigger this season as the Rangers and Guelph Storm compete for a new series trophy while raising funds and awareness for CMHA Waterloo Wellington.
Each team will auction seven select retro jerseys following the regular season and each club will donate $50 for every goal scored by its opponent during the eight-game series.
The Rangers’ donations will be made through Rangers Reach, the Kitchener Rangers Community Fund, supporting mental health programs and services across our region.

Told many CHL teams have tried to have their US affiliated players play a game with them recently, but lack of Hockey Canada/USA Hockey transfer agreement has made it impossible. Told 3-4 QMJHL teams looked to make it happen with some of their recent picks but couldn’t make it work.

I love this, The In Season Cup needs a travelling trophy. Current holders bring the hardware to every game, hand it off to the home fan club (so it can be viewed in the concourse during the game), and present it to the winner after the buzzer, maybe through the stars of the game.
