Heartiest congratulations to my dear friend Dr. @SeeFisch on receiving the prestigious 2027 ACGME (@acgme) Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Award! Dr. Fischer is, in my opinion, one of the finest medical educators and Internal Medicine Residency Program Directors in the country. Beyond his exceptional teaching abilities, what truly sets him apart is his unwavering advocacy for International Medical Graduates (IMGs). The ACGME's Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Award recognizes outstanding Residency Program Directors who demonstrate innovation, excellence in medical education, and exemplary mentorship of residents and fellows. As the Internal Medicine Program Director at One Brooklyn Health–Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, Dr. Fischer has made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless aspiring and practicing physicians. A richly deserved recognition for an educator, mentor, and genuine champion of IMGs. Congratulations, my friend! Wishing you continued success and many more milestones ahead! acgme.org/newsroom/2026/10/a…

Every person of conscience and faith must condemn this horrific act of terrorism. These brainwashed criminals share none of the values we hold. We stand with the Christian community of the Karak Church & with Jordan, and we pray for the healing of the victims and their families.
BREAKING: At least six people killed and 28 others wounded after a shooting in Jordan’s Karak governorate that saw gunmen open fire during a funeral at a church. Read aje.news/0wymgc

There are 13,000 program directors eligible for this word each year There were only 10 awards given, which means one impedes one in Surgery one in Psych one NOB one an emergency medicine, etc. The courage to teach awards is the highest award in the country if not the world for leadership and innovation in medical education at the graduate level

I think we would all be interested to learn the specifics of what changes in therapy
An incredible tool, and with AI it's only getting better. I read these every day, and in selected patients they change care in ways a nuclear stress test can't. When patients actually see their own arteries, adherence to therapy improves dramatically
