Flashback to the time when our president had a sense of humor and wasn’t a thin-skinned narcissist who threatened to shut down media outlets just because someone made fun of him.

I don’t think you’re in a position to pass judgement on who is and isn’t fit to be PM.

The most important thing for progressive parties over the next few months is to keep explaining to people that voting Labour will lead to the expansion of Tory economic and social policy.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🌹NEW: A future Labour administration in Scotland would have to make “dramatic changes” on public spending such as ending free university tuition fees, according to former Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale: 👇 labourlist.org/2024/05/scotl…

Gideon Falter is a Zionist Jew working for Israel. He's one of the principal agents that took out Jeremy Corbyn. He's now looking to take out the Police Commissioner because police allow marches against Zionist wishes. Stand up to this agent of Israel! Don't let him win!

I don’t accept that the strikes were the result of a ‘lack of discipline’. They were the result of systemic flaws in IDF rules of engagement whereby everyone in Gaza is viewed as a legitimate target to be killed. It’s as plain and simple as that.

You'd never guess from @Keir_Starmer's suprised response- or a similarly pathetic formulation from @RishiSunak - that since 7/10 Israel has killed no less than 196 humanitarian aid workers. The 161 Israel killed in the last 3 months of 2023 is more than the deadliest year ever recorded for aid workers globally. In addition, the IDF has killed 103 entirely innocent journalists. This is a cold-blooded slaughter, knowingly enabled by spineless British politicians who continue to pretend Israel is acting within international law and continue to offer diplomatic cover military support and arms sales.
Reports of the death of British nationals – among others from World Central Kitchen – in an Israeli strike on Gaza are horrifying. Our thoughts are with the families of all of those killed.

My talk on @TEDTalks has passed 500k views in under 3 weeks. I'm just getting my head around that. It seems that when we talk about dying with clarity & truth, the 'taboo' falls away. People really want to know more. I hope it consoles many more people. bit.ly/DyingTED

The Israeli government keeps invoking the need to respond to Hamas's attack of Oct. 7 to avoid discussing the legal duty to avoid disproportionate harm to Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The two are legally distinct. Disproportionate attacks are war crimes. justsecurity.org/90789/israe…

I have been informed that I am being replaced as the Editor in Chief of @eLife for retweeting a @TheOnion piece that calls out indifference to the lives of Palestinian civilians.

Natasha Devon on @lbc says she was invited on BBC as a mental health expert. She was asked in practice interview why mental health in kids was declining. She said major reason was Michael Gove’s school reforms. She was told she couldn’t say that on BBC as Gov not there to answer

Shameful - @bovishomes must pause this tree felling and listen to residents before any more irreversible damage is done #WellingboroughTrees 👇
Replying to @bovishomes
@bovishomes Local residents, councillors and the local MP, @PeterBoneUK are calling for you to pause the felling of the #WellingboroughTrees - once you go through with this you can’t go back. Pause now while you still have the chance.

Mastodon is the most talked-about alternative to Twitter. In comparison, “you don’t feel the same level of hostility there,” an editor at an Irish Web site said, and there’s no “swathe of American bullshit to cut through.” nyer.cm/PvZBp4w

This decision is no solution to the energy crisis, it does not offer secure, long-term jobs, and it marks this government giving up on all pretence of climate leadership. Waving this mine through further cements Rishi Sunak as an out of date fossil fuel PM in a renewable age.
Michael Gove has agreed to grant planning permission for the first new deep coal mine in decades in Cumbria --- as recommended by the independent planning inspector. The decision, delayed multiple times, has been ridden with political controversy.
