Even the developers who invented Microsoft Copilot aren’t qualified for this job.
Hiring is broken in 2026.
the EU prequel books were better than anything George Lucas wrote too
Star Wars: The Thrawn Trilogy
Book 1. Heir To The Empire
Book 2. Dark Force Rising
Book 3. The Last Command
Author: Timothy Zahn
These books should have been adapted by Disney Star Wars to be the sequel trilogy. The books are set 5 years after Return of the Jedi and the New Republic has just started setting up the new government on Coruscant. We get introduced to new characters like Grand Admiral Thrawn, who is a master strategist and tactician. Joruus C’boath, an insane clone of Jedi Master Jorus C’boath. Talon Karrde, leader of the top smuggler’s group and intelligence gatherer. Finally Mara Jade, ex- Emperor’s Hand and future wife of Luke Skywalker.
I know these books wouldn’t be a perfect book to screen adaptation but it could have been done pretty well. The timeline of the Clone Wars would have to be changed from the books to fit into the main Star Wars timeline. Plus have Timothy Zahn consult on the scripts and have him on the movie sets so Grand Admiral Thrawn gets portrayed correctly unlike in Disney Star Wars. If you haven’t read this trilogy, I highly recommend that you do!
The original book Dune took the story of Lawrence of Arabia and the post WW2 Egyptian Oil Crisis and made a classic sci-fi story out of it
The later books were just your average genre fiction and utterly forgettable
Governments can't legally seize private property to enact socialism.
Governments can legally seize your home if they have a lien on it. Just have to get people to agree to government liens
I've seen US home prices going back to the 80's. The best time to buy a house is low rates or just after rates go back up. If you wait a few years when rates are high you're risking loss of value and a decade of stale values
a bunch of SAHM mommy social media accounts are complaining that their husbands go play golf on the weekends instead of spending it with their kids.
Dad's now taking kids to play golf. Legends
Meanwhile doctors ignore this data and prescribe antibiotics, accutane and i forgot what else for it
Acne isn't only a skin problem, and in many young men it's a metabolic one. When young men with acne were compared with men of the same age without it, the acne group had higher fasting insulin, higher insulin two hours after a glucose drink, and more insulin resistance. Even among the lean men, insulin after the glucose drink independently predicted acne. Insulin pushes skin cells to grow and divide, so lowering insulin is a reasonable target alongside whatever goes on the skin.
Everyone is signing up to run marathons, not watching tv
Netflix is becoming the gym membership of streaming. People keep paying for it, but apparently a growing number can't be bothered to actually use the damn thing.
According to Bloomberg, Netflix is seeing a decline in average viewing time per subscriber, with third-party data showing a 16.6% year-over-year increase in app inactivity. Meanwhile, their cancellation rate is still hovering around 2%. So people aren't necessarily leaving Netflix, they're just not watching it as much. And apparently the executives are starting to freak out. Well, maybe they should.
Because I've been saying this for a while now. Their UI fucking sucks. Every time I open Netflix, it feels like I'm being shown the same dozen movies and shows shuffled into different categories. There's this massive library of content, but actually finding something feels like a chore. And their marketing is just as bad. They spend hundreds of millions making movies that barely get promoted outside the app. How the hell are people supposed to know what's coming out if they aren't opening Netflix in the first place? You can't rely on your own platform to market your content when getting people to use that platform is the problem.
Then there's the ridiculous wait between seasons of television. Two years, three years, sometimes FOUR YEARS between seasons. Come on. Television used to build audiences through consistency. People developed relationships with characters and stories because they could reliably come back to them. Now Netflix expects people to maintain that same enthusiasm after disappearing for years. Meanwhile, YouTube is sitting right there, free, constantly updated, and giving people something new to watch every single day. My household spends WAY more time watching YouTube than Netflix, and I doubt we're alone.
Netflix can fire executives, restructure its content division, and throw billions at new movies and shows, but none of that fixes the fundamental problem if people aren't excited to use the service. I think Netflix got so comfortable being king of the streaming mountain that it forgot it still has to compete for our attention.
They've gotten really good at collecting our money. Maybe it's time they remembered how to make us give a shit about what we're paying for.
It's called city stockholm syndrome. These people think that New York City is the only place with a diverse population and food options other than fast food. And they don't think jobs exist outside of NYC
Might have been true 30-40 years ago but not anymore
Why don't they just leave NYC? I'm not trying to be callous, but there's a whole wonderful world out there that's more affordable.

The most insane thing is that traditional schools including the big state universities are not only growing administrators but they are pushing some classes to be online only or hybrid with most of it online.
Imagine paying $30,000 a year or more and no real classes
