BREAKING: Democrats have officially won both the House of Representatives and the Senate in a historic midterm sweep, ending total Republican control of Washington and opening the door to a third impeachment of Donald Trump, alongside major investigations into his administration and the Iran war, per major network projections.
Democrats secured at least 218 seats to flip the House, with CNN, CBS and Decision Desk HQ calling the chamber for the party. CNN also projected a Democratic Senate takeover, marking a major blow to Trump and potentially turning him into a lame duck.
The Democratic takeover gives the party control of congressional committees, subpoena powers and the ability to launch impeachment proceedings, putting Trump’s remaining two years in office under intense pressure.

This is the absolute definition of delusional. @realDonaldTrump - for the sake of our nation please wake up. Tonight was your fault.
- You let Susie Wiles run your administration into the dirt.
- You ignored the failed DOJ.
- You started wars. You let gas prices explode.
- You supported mRNA and glyphosate.
- You let Dan Bongina @dbongino and the warlord dildo crew create a war amongst your base.
- You protected the child rapists in the Epstein files
- You attacked your best supporters in Congress and endorsed RINOs.
You are at fault.
Please - for the sake of it nation - wake up.
💯🎯🔥🔥🔥
Republicans earned this humiliation.
Newsflash for the GOP: campaigning on no new wars and lower prices, then starting a major war and raising prices, isn’t a good political strategy.
Trump and the Republican Party were handed a generational opportunity in 2024.
Groups such as MAHA voters and young men, along with growing support among Hispanic and Muslim voters, helped give them a coalition that could have reshaped American politics for a generation.
They squandered it in two years.
What happened tonight is the opposite of political rocket science.
The GOP invited everyone into its “big tent,” then betrayed the people who showed up.
Broken promises on virtually everything except closing the border.
What did they expect would happen?
They confused support for their promises with unconditional loyalty to their party.
They acted like winning an election meant they no longer had to listen to the people who won it for them.
The biggest slap in the face was to MAGA itself.
Their most loyal supporters were promised a government that would finally put them first.
Republicans cannot campaign on changing everything, fail to deliver on the things people care about most, and then blame those people for being angry.
The handling of the Epstein files, the promises surrounding DOGE being abandoned, and the endless cycle of big announcements followed with zero change or action only compounded the issue.
You cannot build an entire movement around exposing corruption and demanding accountability, then act offended when your own supporters demand both from you.
What exactly were Republicans asking voters to reward tonight?
At some point, “the Democrats are worse” stops being a campaign and starts being an admission that you have nothing else to offer.
The Republican Party took an extraordinary political opening and turned it into a case study in arrogance, complacency, and wasted potential.
But you could argue this is the best possible outcome for Republicans before 2028.
They just received a brutal warning while they still have two years to change course.
If their response is to blame voters, attack critics, and insist everything is going perfectly, they deserve what comes next.
Life after Trump is approaching.
Republicans have to decide whether they will return to the neocon politics their own voters rejected, remain trapped in defending everything Trump does, or build a party capable of keeping its promises.
Democrats, meanwhile, have just been handed the opportunity Republicans wasted.
Their biggest mistake would be assuming tonight means voters have embraced every part of the Democratic agenda.
Voters punishing Republicans is not a blank check for Democrats.
If Democrats spend the next two years indulging their own ideological factions, letting the DSA set the direction, and dismissing concerns about affordability and everyday life, they will make the exact same mistake.
Republicans thought anger at Democrats would spare them from having to deliver.
Democrats should not be stupid enough to believe anger at Republicans will spare them either.
Neither party owns the people who vote for it.
Earn their trust, keep your promises, or expect to lose it.

Among other things, this is an absolute rebuke of the war in Iran. Democrats would be wise to heed that lesson and truly become the anti-war party.
Wash the vermin away!!! This was not support for Democrats! It was a message AGAINST Trump and the RINOs!
People are finally starting to wake up and say ENOUGH!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Turns out that promising to serve Israel as a U.S. Senator isn't popular with your voters. Go figure...
💯🤦🏻♂️
No matter who wins in the midterms, the following will be true:
1. Absolutely nobody is getting a $5,000 Trump Dividend
2. Both parties are sold out to a foreign lobby
3. Ukraine & Iran wars will continue
4. The debt will keep rising
5. Social media propagandists will blame absolutely everyone except the administration
💯🎯🔥🔥🔥
Trump’s biggest betrayal to the American people isn’t what he failed to do. It’s what he promised NOT to do… and did anyway.
We gave President Trump our support, we gave him our money, we gave him our vote, we gave him our time and we got behind him publicly and he didn't deliver.
President Trump only delivered for his rich, powerful elite friends who are part of the Epstein class. He delivered for his high dollar donors, big tech friends, for foreign countries and foreign wars.
Americans are fed up with it.
