Trip down Memory Lane for me tonight as I get to see many of the players I used to write about in the @SussexCountyFA Women's Cup final. A real pleasure to watch a totally changed @LewesFCWomen and many of my old friends now playing for @SaltdeanWomenFC
What a great record this is of a magnificent, memorable cup run for @ChathamTownWFC youtube.com/watch?v=-8Ed1eBh…
Really struck by these comments from player Abbie Mason in today's online programme. Sums up what a club should be about - and reminds me of a previous club that one of their most experienced players once played for.
What a pleasure it was to take in a pre-season friendly today, so many years after I stopped watching games regularly. But what a shock to find that the kids are all grown up and many of the grown-ups are no longer playing - at least, not at this level!
