After this past weekend’s games, @GreenWaveFB is 4th in the @American_Conf in Points Allowed (technically 3rd since there is a tie for 1st place between South Florida and Temple). Yet we are 11th (technically tied for 10th with UAB) in Points Scored. The story for our offense is a little more concerning than that however. Of the 67 points we have scored to-date in conference play, 14 have been via defensive touchdowns (one pick 6 each against Memphis and UTSA). That means that our offense has scored 53 points in 3 conference games, two of which have been home games, and the other was against an Army defense that was in disarray at the time. When you look deeper at our offensive output, we have only scored 5 offensive touchdowns in those 3 conference games. 6 FGs and 5 TDs in 3 conference games. Hats off to our defense as they are playing hard and are clearly taking pride in and executing on the goal of improving week to week. Kudos to Coach Polk and his staff. It’s time to see the same from our offense. Our conservatism and inefficiency on offense is THE problem this season. If Callaway doesn’t get more creative, then Hall needs to either take over play-calling or get someone else to do it. If he can’t or won’t do that, then that becomes a different problem to deal with. As a Tulane alum who lives through the Davis and Teevens years (11 wins TOTAL during my 4 years), I can definitively say that these are not those teams. In terms of our on-field talent, we are now bringing loaded and high-caliber guns to the proverbial gun fight - and that includes our offense. Injuries? We have depth. Underperformance (anyone else tired of seeing open receivers drop passes)? We have depth. You can only ask so much of a defense. Locker rooms and cultures get lost when everyone doesn’t pull their weight equally. Everyone sees it, even if no one says it out loud. Leadership makes sure that doesn’t happen, and it doesn’t allow egos or favoritism to be more important than that. With the resources and the talent we have, good coaches will get it done. The jury is still out, but the deliberations won’t go on much longer. @TUptownUpdate

Four straight conference championship appearances. A College Football Playoff berth. Now 3-4. Tulane earned higher expectations. I want a physical, disciplined team with a clear plan. Accountability starts with Hall and his staff. We deserve better. 🌊💚 #RollWave

If Tulane loses to Charlotte the entire coaching staff and administration has to eat dog sh*t out of a red solo cup.

Took me a while to gather my thoughts from last night. Ultimately it boils down to this. Tulane is a BAD football team right now. Every week it has been a different killer, Penalties, missed tackles, poor QB play, play calling, poor OL play, turnovers, drops. All of these things are signs of bad football. In a vacuum, you can excuse one and say we can fix it on Monday, but all together you get a pattern. Tulane had been one of the 10 most successful college football programs over the last 4 years, you can't even debate that. Last winter the Tulane job opening was listed as the top G6 job available with enough resources relative to the competition and enough returning talent to immediately compete for championships and CFP spots, instead we get this. Tulane is 10th to LAST IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY in the below, which is the difference in Pass Yards - Pass Yards Allowed plus the difference in Rush Yards - Rush Yards Allowed. We want accountability. What are the athletic department and coaching staff going to do to fix this, and fix this urgently. We have had too much success recently to fall this fast, it seems almost impossible.

Replying to @DavidHarrisAD
@DavidHarrisAD @TUFitts If you can’t see from the results and the lack of fan support at the game that change is needed then what are we even doing funding a team? Either we are 100% committed to providing the necessary resources or there is no point to it all #RollWave
