Coach Glimpse 🏌️🫡
ChatGPT got me into AI via Ghibli style. Golf got me hooked on Glimpse 🏌️‍♂️ Going from text prompts to frame-by-frame video analysis is next level. Try the demo: elorian.ai/blog/introducing-… #Glimpse #ElorianAI

LLMs are either not capable or not affordable for visual reasoning tasks at scale. The Elorian team - one of Jeff Dean’s best reports who led Gemini, an Apple LLM lead, xAI lead, and a Harvard professor - just launched an Astra-level visual reasoning model, Glimpse, for 17x cheaper. Watch it break down the flying Tesla video physics here. Extremely critical for video inputs in manufacturing, robotics, gaming, content moderation and more.
Spent years watching models ace a single image and completely whiff on anything that moves or changes angle. Today we’re fixing that. Try Glimpse now, our first visual thinking model with competitive frontier performance compared to Astra on key public visual reasoning benchmarks.

My mom somehow also thinks she came up with the name Glimpse, but I think Dustin has receipts here. What should the next model be called??
Replying to @dustinvtran
The name Glimpse was inspired by one of my favorite documentaries: John Berger’s Ways of Seeing (1972). Berger shows how photography and television changed our relationship with centuries of art: a painting could leave the gallery, enter our homes, and take on new meanings through cropping, commentary, or music. Today, AI is changing how we create images and films. I find myself returning to his questions about seeing, authorship, and interpretation. Highly recommend watching. Episode 1 below.

Working with Le has been one of the many highlights of building glimpse. He is one of the most talented researchers in multimodal today!
Introducing Glimpse, our first model launch — a multimodal Visual Thinking Model 🚀🚀🚀 Had a lot of fun leading the training effort on this one with such an amazing team! Give it a try — we'd love your feedback. Things are speeding up, more to come!

if @elonmusk could stop building literal flying cars for just 1 day so ppl could focus on our model launch that would be great tysm

We're so excited that after a frenetic few months of heads down work in Palo Alto, our first model Glimpse is out now! 👇 see my cofounder @AndrewDai on how Glimpse thinks and what we imagine you can do with it. Read more about our astra-competitive visual reasoning results on our blog (at 16x lower cost!) elorian.ai/blog/introducing-… and most importantly: TRY THE MODEL on chat or api: elorian.ai/models

Launching now: A GLIMPSE of the visual thinking future🔮
We developed a model reaching frontier-level multimodal performance, matching or exceeding Astra on 5 of 12 benchmarks, all with 17x lower token prices. The model is smaller and cheaper than Gemini 3.8 Flash while dominating it in real world vision workloads. We achieved this by inventing a technique for visual reasoning, where the model is no longer restricted to text chain-of-thought. Conditioned on visual tokens, Glimpse can perform recurrent computation over latent internal representations and can even orchestrate subagents that send messages over internal visual states. Really proud of what our small team and only hundreds of GPUs could accomplish. elorian.ai/blog/introducing-…

Impressive performance from @GoogleAI on the @ElorianAI x @ScaleAILabs visual reasoning benchmark HSS… particularly striking gains on long video and image reasoning 👀👀
Congrats to @GoogleAI's Gemini 4 Argon for taking the top spot of our Humanity's Sixth Sense (HSS) benchmark with a score of 55.4%, edging out GPT-6-Astra at 53.6%. 🥇 HSS tests AI’s ability to reason beyond what’s visible, from hidden objects to predicting what happens next and understanding human behavior. We took a closer look at performance across categories, and that’s where things get interesting. 👀🧵

Today we're excited to co-launch Humanity's Sixth Sense (HSS) with Scale AI -- comprising 522 image and video questions that measure model capability in "intuitive" visual reasoning tasks. Humans score 93 while the best model (GPT-6 Astra) is at 53!
We’re introducing Humanity’s Sixth Sense, a new benchmark testing the intuitive visual reasoning people rely on every day. Across 522 open-ended tasks spanning images and video, HSS tests everything from spatial and causal reasoning to social understanding. The gap is significant. Humans score 93.1%, while the strongest model, GPT-6-astra, reaches 53.6%. The median model scores just 30.9%.

Excited to have co-led Humanity’s Sixth Sense (HSS), a new benchmark for intuitive visual reasoning, great collaboration with @ScaleAI 👁️ 🧠 Humans: 93.1% 🤖 Best model (GPT-6-Astra): 53.6% What feels obvious to human eyes remains surprisingly difficult for even the strongest AI models. See our blog: elorian.ai/blog/humanitys-si… My first released work at @ElorianAI. More to come—stay tuned! 🚀
