When a candidate "walks back" (or even apologizes for) his comments after he realizes the comment arecounterproductive to his goal, does that really changeanything?
I've always been mystified by the political game of forcing people to apologize or say they've changed their minds
In countries where justice is swift and certain, even for first time offenses, crime is easily controlled. Look at Singapore. On the other side, people here argue that we don't want that kind of a punishment system, and we want to give people lots of chances.
If you're curious, my reporting on all of that, including my extensive discussions with Robert DeNiro, are detailed in my last national bestseller "Follow the Science: How Big Pharma Misleads, Obscures, and Prevails."
It's hard to know exactly what happened with TriBeCa
When we made Vaxxed, it got kicked out of the Tribeca Film Festival, and a full firestorm broke out around us. The media went after us, calling us baby killers, saying the film was going to get people killed.
In the middle of it all, Robert De Niro, the festival's founder, went public on our behalf. He said he believed in the film, that he had a child with autism, and that he was standing behind us. Two days later, we were kicked out anyway. Even Robert De Niro, in his own festival, couldnβt stand up against whatever force was actually making that decision.
We got on a call, asked them directly what they thought they were doing, and told them that censoring a film like this would hurt the festivalβs credibility. Their answer was that a scientific body had reviewed it and found misinformation and inaccuracies. We asked which parts and they wouldn't tell us.
Think about that. They wouldnβt name a single inaccuracy, they took the film out from under the festivalβs own founder, and the owner of the festival couldnβt override the decision. That tells you thereβs a βthey.β

Am I wrong about this?
If "govt" delivers to everybody a "dignified" certain equal level of housing, salary, lifestyle, cars, phones, food, child care, clothes, computers, etc...as Mamdani and others advocate for...
I personally know of 3 people who had mysterious illness hit in the past couple of years, all younger than I am, kind of fell down, instant paralysis, nobody can figure out what's wrong.
Rehab, wheelchair, medicine, surgeries, mysteries.
This happened to me on Delta.
It's not all that unusual but on one particular day, the woman seated next to me was so obese that she took up approximately half of my space. I'm not exaggerating.
We need to have a serious conversation about overweight people flying on commercial airlines.
Iβm flying on @AmericanAir and after paying extra money to upgrade my seat, I got stuck next to a man who is 300+ pounds and stripped mid flight.
None of the flight attendants wanted to confront him.
He smells like π© and weed.
Heβs literally sitting in my seat and keeps touching me.
For context, heβs literally 300+ pounds and Iβm 120.
Why does American Airlines think itβs acceptable to treat people this way?!
I tried reaching out discreetly during the flight, but they have no avenues to do that.

An acquaintance of mine who's an ER doc told me two decades ago that they were taught (brainwashed) to ask about vaccine status in the ER ahead of all visits.
They're taught it's a prime way to get people vaccinated and find people who have been missed.
True story. 3 weeks ago I took my mom to the ED for severe abdominal pain. First q the nurse asked was, βAre you up to date on your COVID & flu vaccines?β My mom was literally doubled over in βlevel 8β pain & this was the priority??? (she is fine now)
My dad was also just hospitalized over weekend for low BP. First q from intake nurse, βAre you up to date on your pneumonia vaccine?β
This is new & extremely bizarre, inappropriate behavior from 2 different major hospitals. When & WHY did acute care lose the plot?
