Shocking news from the RGV and the only softball coach in the history of La Joya HS passed away this morning. Please keep his family, players, friends, & the La Joya HS community.

Saddened and shocked by the passing of longtime La Joya softball coach Carlos Rodriguez. A pioneer for RGV softball, 500 + career wins & started the La Joya program. Coach Rod will be missed. The RGV lost a great one. @TXPrepSoftball @lajoyaisd
