Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

Joe Delaney passed away at age 24 while trying to save two young boys from drowning. Terrific running back, gone much too soon. As this NFL season gets underway, let’s take a minute to remember a man who gave away all of his tomorrows trying to help some strangers. #RIP

The Cardinals once employed Harry Caray, Jack Buck, and Joe Garagiola at the same time. That’s a roster.

Jordan Walker earned $1 million for winning the 2026 MLB Home Run Derby.
The Cardinals outfielder’s 2026 salary is $799,400—meaning his Derby prize exceeded his entire season salary.
Finally I hear the fans instead of the annoying warped baddy music. #HomeRunDerby

Let's jump into the time machine and go back to 1974 when this bizarre Cardinals/Cubs incident made the headlines.

Butch Yatkeman, equipment manager for the Cardinals, served the team for an incredible 59 years!
He started as a batboy in 1924 when he was 16 years-old and was elevated to the equipment manager 4 years later.
He was going to retire after the 1981 season, but was convinced by Whitey Herzog to stay one more year, and of course it was a World Series championship
season.
He was one of the first clubhouse managers to be honored with a plaque in the Baseball Hall of Fame's library.
Butch was an inaugural member of the Major League Baseball Clubhouse Managers Association Hall of Fame.
When all was said and done, Butch was with the team for an astonishing 13 NL pennant winners and 9 World Series championships!! 👀
Butch passed away at the age of 91 on January 22, 2000.
