Greetings! Here’s a holiday offering from another livestream concert I did, in December, 2020. “In the Bleak Midwinter” has always been a favorite of mine, despite the word “bleak”; I’ve always loved contrast!
Peace on Earth and Good Will to All. ☮️ ❣️
Love,
Shawn
Another “you-can’t-make-this-up” opportunity thanks to good ol’ Sunny.
I present myself and the inimitable Ernie, from Sesame Street, tooling around the California desert as we sang “I Don’t Want to Live On the Moon”. This was part of a Sesame Street extravaganza broadcast…
called “Elmopalooza” which some of you may recall if you had little kids in the late 90’s.
I was one month pregnant with my daughter and a tad woozy. Well, Ernie made it all easy; he was a peach and a wonderful duet partner to boot. A true pro. Bert was hanging around for…
Wow! Just got back my Spotify Wrapped for 2025. Thank you so much to everyone who listened to my music this past year, and any year!

Well, this was fun! Here are my old pals from my NYC days in the 80’s, Soozie Tyrell and Elaine Caswell. We sang with each other in every configuration imaginable - different bands, trios, duos…..hell, Soozie and Elaine busked in the subway! (I waitressed.)
Music Monday! Today I’m sharing a song from another one of the livestreams I did during lockdown (which you can download from my Bandcamp page). This concert features eleven of My Favorite Movie Songs - a show I always wanted to put on!

My bandmates here are David Pulkingham slaying on guitars and Mike Meadows killing it on percussion, both of them also contributing background vocals.
This show was So. Much. Fun.
Again, you can download the audio from my Bandcamp page. Please enjoy!

#MusicMonday - On this day in 1992 my second record, Fat City, was released, produced by my dear friend, Larry Klein. What a great time we had, laughing pretty much non-stop.
The album was recorded at Kiva, the studio attached to Larry’s and Joni Mitchell’s house.
I got to hang out with Joni a lot, but that is a whole other story. Suffice to say that between all the hilarity and getting to know Joni it was a blessed time I’ll never forget.
The video here is a rendition of Kill the Messenger, taped during 2020 at Arlyn Studios in Austin
This particular show consisted of me performing Fat City in its entirely, solo acoustic.
Three of these concerts are available to be downloaded for your listening pleasure on my Bandcamp page. (What a time THAT was, what with live music at a standstill!)

On April 16th, 1998, Don Henley put on a benefit concert at the Wiltern Theater in LA on behalf of The Walden Woods Foundation and called the event “Stormy Weather”. He invited the women pictured here to sing classic standards, accompanied by the orchestra.
With arrangements by the incredible Vince Mendoza and musical direction provided by my brilliant pal, Larry Klein.
The show was recorded and released on CD but it’s super hard to track down now. I found my rendition of “But Beautiful” on YouTube and I’ve included a snippet here
