I have seen the initial election results this morning, and while I am encouraged, it is still very early. Counting continues, and we must allow the IEC to complete its work. That said, I want to sincerely thank every resident of Tshwane who came out yesterday to vote, and especially those who placed their trust in me. I am deeply grateful for your support. In the meantime, until the IEC officially declares the results, I remain the Executive Mayor of Tshwane, and my responsibility to the residents of our capital continues. I will be returning to Bronkhorstspruit today to check on progress with the rehabilitation of the water treatment works and efforts to restore safe drinking water. Whatever the election outcome, my commitment to serving the people of Tshwane remains. Thank you, Tshwane. 💚
