Crush him Minister Joly.
Cleveland-Cliffs CEO: I bought Stelco because I could not afford anymore having Stelco flooding the market here in the United States to the detriment of my own company. David Cochrane: Am I understanding you correctly there? It was a defensive acquisition?

😎Wayne Long on Pierre Poilievre in the House of Commons: "He's in his third decade in the House producing nothing". Hung around until even his constituents realized he accomplished nothing and voted him out.

Today PM Carney signed the Canada-UAE CEPA trade agreement with UAE. Signing it brings us closer to opening more of the UAE market to Canadian businesses. Once fully implemented, the agreement will lower tariffs on 99% of current Canadian exports to the UAE.

😎Canada has just secured a major leadership role in a new international defence bank, and the United States isn't among the founding countries. Albania, Belgium, Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg, Romania, Türkiye, and Ukraine, are joining Canada to establish the Defence, Security .

Poilievre or Lantsman pretend they care about your grocery bills. One of them used to lobby for the giants. The other's inner circle still does. The Westons doubled their fortune while you paid more for bread. They're not fighting for you. They're fighting for crooks.

🇨🇦 TRUMP PUT A 50% TARIFF ON CANADIAN ALUMINUM. NOW CANADA IS SELLING MORE TO EUROPE, AND AMERICANS ARE PAYING MORE. There’s just one problem with trying to make America less dependent on Canadian aluminum. America doesn’t produce nearly enough aluminum to meet its own needs. Canada has long supplied most American imports of primary aluminum. Our hydroelectric-powered smelters produce a metal essential to U.S. automobiles, aircraft, construction and manufacturing. Trump’s tariffs were supposed to strengthen American industry. Instead, American manufacturers are confronting soaring aluminum premiums while rebuilding domestic production remains enormously expensive and time-consuming. Meanwhile, something rather inconvenient is happening for Washington. According to today’s Wall Street Journal, Canadian aluminum shipments to Europe have increased 77% year over year through August. Think about what that means. America is making Canadian aluminum more expensive for American businesses while encouraging Canadian producers to develop relationships with customers elsewhere. And those relationships may outlast the tariffs themselves. There’s nothing wrong with America wanting greater industrial independence. Canada should be pursuing the same objective. But creating domestic production capacity takes years, enormous investment and affordable electricity. Tariffs don’t magically produce any of those things. So if Americans are paying more for aluminum while Canadians are finding new customers, who exactly is becoming less dependent on whom?

22 years. Nothing. Nothing but division, rhetoric, misinformation, snark, and a whole lot of political theatre. Outside of a few PM's he has cost Canada taxpayers more than literally any other political figure in Canadian History. What a waste.
WATCH: “Mr. Speaker, that leader has been in this house for 8100 days. He’s produced nothing but negativity, diviseness, and he never has a plan, Mr. Speaker.” - LPC MP Wayne Long. Yup! @PierrePoilievre has been an MP for 22 years. ZERO accomplishments.

Toronto probably doesn’t care now who Bradford really is, but now that Olivia has been re-elected and they can breathe easier, it might be a good time to take a deeper dive into who Bradford is connected to so they better understand the huge far right bullet they just dodged.
UPDATE: The list of public figures endorsing Brad Bradford now includes disgraced media mogul and (formerly) convicted fraudster Conrad Black and a former leader of the Conservative Party of Canada! thegrindmag.ca/brad-bradford…

After a 21-week break, Ford finally returns to Queen’s Park, just weeks before Xmas recess. Plenty of time for photo ops, ribbon cuttings & self-promotion. Meanwhile, hospitals struggle, education suffers & costs keep rising. Premier, Ontarians elected you to govern, not campaign

Five months without Question Period is five months without the accountability Ontarians deserve. You don’t get to tell your boss, “Don’t ask me anything for five months.” Neither should Doug Ford. #onpoli

#cdnpoli #polqc

"Can you explain why this member is getting a promotion after he ripped off the people of this province?" On the first day of the fall sitting, Premier Ford dodges questions about why Stan Cho, who resigned from cabinet this summer after charging taxpayers for local hotel stays, has been promoted to an education role with a $22K pay bump.
