Shall I mothball @shellshockedGB after nearly 10 years? It was to promote my book Shell Shocked Britain and keep followers in touch with commemorations in the press... Far less engagement than there was.

I don't tweet my opinion on things very often but honestly bastard horse racing should be banned. On what level is watching animal cruelty 'entertaining'.

Can any Suffolk Regiment experts assist me here please? Officers record is virtually empty and no mention of him in the 1/4th War Diary, yet he was awarded campaign medals. Tried using Bloomfield but still nothing. Discharged 1919. Any ideas please?? #suffolkregiment

What to say on #HolocaustMemorialDay - in my travels across Europe in search of the Holocaust, I discovered my own French ancestors who didn’t survive it, and stood by this pond at Auschwitz staring at the human ash below the water. Never forget or diminish what happened. Never.

at some point someone from the *higher echelons* (said with irony) will need A&E care. There are no private A&Es. Maybe then, at the very edge of survival, they'll notice how threadbare it all is. I hope it won't take a death to make them see.

And so another search begins. Note the 'my Belgian refugees' bottom right. If I get the writing right the family is called Decraeckere, most likely from Ostend. @familiekunde @HeemkundeVL

Love seeing projects like this happening, unfortunately it only appears to be available in the local area. On a similar vein I've got my original articles that appeared in the @Mid_Advertiser over the same period. I wonder 🤔
