To understand the parameters of the coming escalation, let's remember that Iran officially unveiled its last generation of missiles, the hypersonic Fattah 1 (1400 km range reported) and the heavy, longer range Khorramshahr-4 (3000 km range reported), in the summer of 2023.
Since then, dozens of these missiles hit targets in Israel easily, routinely, and with great precision.
But that generation of missiles is over 3 years old, and Iran is working hard and fast. Also, since then, Russia, Iran's close ally, unveiled the Oreshnik, a hypersonic missile with a range of 5000 kilometers.
We can safely assume Iran now has hypersonic missiles that can hit targets 2000-2500 kilometers away, and heavier ballistic missiles with a range of 4000-5000 km. And that's a conservative estimate.
Considering Ayatollah Khamenei's statement from today, according to which the gloves are of in terms of the reach of Iran's retaliation to any aggression, I believe it is quite certain we're going to see US installation in Cyprus, Greece, and potentially Romania, Albania and even Italy as well targeted by Iran in this round.
And, at the upper edge of this potential range, the UK could also be covered, alongside the colonial hub Diego Garcia.
In other words: while moving decisively to decolonize West Asia, Iran could significantly precipitate the decolonization/liberation of Europe as well.

There have been no US warships at NSA Bahrain since late February.
No US warship has transited the Strait of Hormuz since then.
Iran has explicitly forbidden and forcibly prevented any US warship from entering the strait or the Persian Gulf.

1 of 3 US Navy LCS ships with mine countermeasures modules that were deployed to NSA Bahrain in May of last year remains, USS Tulsa (LCS 16).
The other two, USS Canberra (LCS ##) and USS Santa Barbara (LCS ##) departed the region around the time Operation EPIC FURY began. USS Canberra has since been transferred to 7th Fleet while the USS Santa Barbara returned to Naval Base San Diego.
All three ships were deployed to Bahrain in 2025 to replace the Avenger class minesweepers, who deployed to the region in 1990. Two thirds of their replacements were pulled out of the region when the threat of mines was at the highest.

The senior commanders of the Armed Forces met with Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
▪️In this meeting, the Leader of the Revolution considered "intelligent combat readiness for a powerful confrontation with enemies" to be among the requirements of "maximum deterrence" and decreed that any level and type of threat must be met with an immediate and effective response and without geographical limitations.
▪️Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei stated: If the enemies once again start military or terrorist attacks, it is the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation that will determine the time and conditions of its end.
▪️The Commander-in-Chief also emphasized the strengthening of the military intelligence architecture, the deepening of indigenous defense in both the doctrine and tactics domains, the growth of up-to-date defense and security capabilities through the use of modern technologies, and the strengthening of spiritual foundation and jihadi morale, while simultaneously making uninterrupted efforts to meet the livelihood needs and support of the Armed Forces.
▪️In another part of the Commander-in-Chief's directives, it was decreed that the target bank be updated in such a way that all types of material and non-material assets of the American-Zionist enemy are placed within the range of the Armed Forces.
▪️He considered national support for the Armed Forces to be one of the pillars of deterrence against Iranophobic foreigners and their domestic mercenaries, and added: The eight-month presence of the Ba'that nation in the arenas extends the eight-year Sacred Defense, which, alongside the steadfastness of the military, law enforcement, and Basiji forces, has protected and will protect the territorial integrity of Iran and the Islamic system.
▪️The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, while appreciating the intelligent steadfastness of the Resistance Front in various countries, considered the unity of arenas to be a determining variable with a strategic impact on shaping the new political and security order in West Asia, and expressed hope that this new order will provide the growing ground for the unity of Islamic nations and governments for the formation of a new Islamic civilization.
