These are the faces of the family that took our Hina from us and blamed it on ‘thieves’ with a confidence that still shakes us to our core.
Asghar Ali Fayyaz, the father in law.
Faisal Asghar Imam, the murderer.
Remember them.

Police called on 3 year old Black boy—for being "too good" at soccer.
Officers escorted his family away in front of all the other kids.
After league had them tresspassed from the field.
“They really called the police on a 3 year old because he had the ball too much," dad said.
The young athlete was already playing in a league with kids 2 years older than him.
Other parents on the opposing team are heard on video claiming the kid was "trying to put on a show."
His mom replied, "Those grown ups huddled up talking about my son... but he ain't doing nothing but playing soccer."
Incident occurred at an i9 Sports league soccer game in Winter Park, Florida.

Funny how the people who shout loudest about protecting British children rarely mention the Pakistani-born surgeon who spent 30 years actually saving them.

Would be great if for once you could come up with a plan to restore Islamabad’s green spaces, its markets and its low cost vendors. That’s what the city wants and needs not more high end coffee shops and concrete monstrosities. Thanks!
F-9 Park holds a special place in the hearts of everyone living in Islamabad.
Let me make it absolutely clear that Not a single tree will be cut 100% guaranteed. No new concrete structures.
Instead, we are planning better lighting, a beautiful lake, coffee shops, improved walkways, and the plantation of thousands of additional trees.
Our only goal is to make F-9 Park greener, safer, more beautiful, and more enjoyable for families and visitors.

Dear women, stop minimising your pain to make others comfortable.
When you silence your own experiences, society finds it easier to dismiss your suffering, rewrite your story and relieve your trauma.
Your pain is real.
Your voice matters.
Your silence is not the price you owe anyone for acceptance.
Wake up. Speak out.
Stand together. Demand accountability.

Classic Umera Ahmed. A high achieving opinionated woman crashes so badly after a breakup, loses sense of self, agency, only a religious man can rescue her. There’s nothing wrong in changing values but it must come from within. Woh lash banni ghoom rahi hai uppar jo marzi daal do

I have been advocating for making F-9 Park in Islamabad more vibrant and people-friendly.
It is an amazing green space, with thousands of trees and rich vegetation. It also serves as an important environmental buffer for a city that is rapidly being polluted with more highways and underpasses. We must protect this.
But we also need to improve how people experience and use the park.
The park should be well-lit, with walking paths connecting all sides, allowing people to cross it safely. It should not just be a place for morning and evening walks, but also part of people's daily commute.
We also need wide, pedestrian-friendly footpaths connecting nearby residential sectors to the park. People living in these sectors should be able to walk to the park instead of taking their cars (If they are blessed to live in the nearby sectors).
All of this can be achieved without cutting trees or reducing vegetation.
I also believe that a sustainable model for street food and other small vendors can make the park more vibrant, accessible and safer. Of course, this must come with proper environmental, waste management and food safety protocols. Street vendors are not necessarily a threat to public spaces. When properly managed, they bring activity, social interaction and natural surveillance.
However, there is a much bigger issue: public trust in CDA.
I don't think citizens trust CDA to undertake such interventions without damaging the park's ecology or compromising its public character. This distrust has developed over years of decisions about trees, public spaces and urban design.
Therefore, even if the government has good intentions, it cannot approach the improvement of F-9 Park in an authoritarian, top-down manner.
There must be meaningful public consultations, involvement of urbanists, environmental experts, nearby communities and citizen groups. The process should be transparent, with clear commitments to protecting the park's green cover.
Most importantly, this initiative must be citizen-led, not driven by the Interior Ministry or the Chairman CDA.
F-9 Park belongs to the people of Islamabad. They should have the leading role in deciding its future.
Give Abrar, Sufiyan Muqeem and Abdullah Shafique the same grace and space as is afforded to Shadab to perform.
