We all need music. Whether we’re 7 months old, 9 years old, or 79 years old, music is fundamental to our existence, to our sense of self, and to our sense of community. We all need music.

Following changes to the rules governing social interaction in all the nations of the UK, confusion arose as to their application to leisure-time music groups. However, the Department for Digital,...

Culture secretary Oliver Dowden has suggested that theatres may be able to reopen fully by Christmas, under plans he is calling Operation Sleeping Beauty. He also said mass testing could be the "short-term key" to allow social distancing to be dropped bit.ly/2ZeKmpX

This is so true - music opportunities at school can be a saviour for many children who haven’t been introduced to it at home! #Lovemusic

Over my 15 year career, I’ve seen music transform the lives of countless pupils. Those who were lost, found a home. Those who were disengaged, found a purpose. Those who were shy, found an outlet. Those who had something to say, found a voice. Music provides so much to so many.
