Recently read A Very Typical Family. If you let go of the need for complete realism & logic, there's a good story about "coming of age" as an adult, & building relationships from that perspective. My favorite relationship dynamic was between Natalie & Kit. #biglibraryread

@Hertz why include the option for a 12am/Midnight pickup when you won't let me actually select that option? The flight lands late the night before. I've already built in buffer time before selecting 12am. 🙃

It's these simple things that highlight the need for a good UX designer or Business Analyst on a development team. Also that wording - it's not a "recommendation" if you won't allow a user to proceed with the selection.
Anyone else unable to watch the last 10 minutes of @FBICBS ? Won't play on my Roku, laptop, or phone. Tried across multiple days.

The answer isn't but a better TV or change your settings. @eavoss does a good job of explaining the technical reason for the terrible lighting & puts it in better words why it should be up to the director to fix the problem.

Alito doesn't even pretend to be a judge anymore. He is a religious zealot--using his power to impose his beliefs on everyone else. In a functioning democracy, that would be cause for removal--because he does not follow his oath of office.

1600s England, is that you? How absolutely fucking ironic.
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito decried what he called “hostility to religion,” as he made his first public remarks since the release of his opinion overturning the constitutional right to abortion trib.al/2czYLKZ

We asked them to ban AR-15s, and they banned abortions instead.

Abortion, which is lifesaving in cases of miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, etc, will now be illegal in many states & even criminal in some & women will die as a result of this decision. So don't tell me you're pro-life.

The party of "small government" sure likes to stick their big nose into state governance.

The ruling by the Supreme Court struck down New York state's limits on carrying concealed handguns outside the home. The court found that the law, enacted in 1913, violated a person's right to 'keep and bear arms' under the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment 3/5
.@SenTedCruz with all due respect! You couldn’t stop people without guns entering the sacred grounds of the @uscapitol and you think one door will stop someone for committing murder? You’re no architect…but at least try to do something about AR-15s killing our citizens…
Sen. Ted Cruz is back to blaming unlocked back doors for school shootings, while also advocating for more officers at schools: 'In Uvalde, if that door had been locked and shut, if there had been a single entrance … police officers could’ve stopped him'

So did the Tesla execs go back to working on site today, or have they all been fired after Musk's latest hissy fit?

There’s no doubt about it – food costs significantly more these days. In April, Canadians paid 9.7% more for food purchased from stores – the largest yearly increase since September 1981. Here's how to reduce your grocery bills in seven easy steps ⬇️ tgam.ca/3lTPxXj
In a world full of shit takes, we have yet another one here. And more people in the comments who only, selfishly care about their insular world... which is precisely why we're STILL IN A PANDEMIC.
I'm just a mom of a toddler, trying to get through the end of the year, begging you to please stop reporting your kid's positive covid test to the school.
