“Everything sacred which wishes to remain so must wrap itself in mystery.”
— Stéphane Mallarmé
The "AI-native/AI-first" consumer tech hardware category is very obviously emerging, and I would argue that @rabbit_hmi is literally the only meaningful player in it right now.
The criteria, IMO, is that your device has to have been primarily designed for using AI, which rules out the Meta Glasses. Muse Charm isn't out yet. And I think the other meaningful criteria is that it can't be a single purpose device, which rules out the swathe of AI audio transcribers like Plaud.
The shadow of OpenAI/Ive looms large, but it's been almost 3 years since people started talking about that and we still don't really know anything about it, and haven't heard very much in some time. Humane and Limitless are gone. Friend exists, but as far as I can tell, they've sold around 5k units compared to our 100k plus.
Everything is on the table and there's all to play for, and we're hard at work on our next form factor.
there are only two ways to interact with agents that feel right.
1. voice
2. actual physical keyboard, pref mechanical
smartphones (at least most of them) are poorly optimised for both.

OS3 users have consumed hundreds of billions of tokens in 2 weeks since launch. here's a new week to ship!
this week we will address:
1. the friction of none BYOK users to provide a much smoother and simpler onboarding process.
2. agent performance optimization regarding speed and token consumption.
3. faster DLAM computer control.
we'll do a side by side comparison, OS3 vs. everything else on market.
we are working on the exact ideas you mentioned. hopefully will be ready within this month, with OS3 to build any apps to be natively rendered and runs 60FPS on r1 with OS3, which is a much needed upgrade to the existing creations feature on r1.
I was thinking of buying a teenage engineering sampler as I love their stuff then I remembered I have a rabbit r1
I'm thinking of installing llama.cpp on it but also doing s2s apps
tbf initially I wasn't as interested but now they offer you to vibe code apps, use community creations on device or jailbreak which to me is very cool
probably need to upgrade the os first
disclaimer: this was sent to me for free but it's not a paid ad or whatever, I do not do paid ads and never did

snapchat have a pop-up in LA at century city right now where you can try Specs.
the tech is cool. but they look ridiculous and i don't see many people spending $2k on them.
here's an AI image because the original photo looked ridiculous lol
🤖 Made with AI
i finally saw a z fold 8 in the store yesterday.
still want one. but i really don't need more phones lol (just got pixel 11 pro xl recently, got clicks communicator and minimal phone 2 on the way as well whenever they ship)
