Please join us in paying our respects to Quincy Jones who has died at the age of 91.
Known for his work with Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra and overseeing the all-star recording of the charity record 'We Are The World', Quincy's impact on the music industry is unforgettable 🤍

RIP Quincy Jones, who leaves us at age 91. No musician of his generation moved so effortlessly and brilliantly between styles and settings—collaborating with everyone from Frank Sinatra to Michael Jackson to Miles Davis. What a remarkable career!

Hi Friends, I’m standing for the Musicians’ Union Executive Committee, I’d love to ask you for your support! It would mean the world to me to be voted in.
I feel incredibly strongly about being part of this committee - that when we get involved on the inside we can contribute towards the positive changes and support that we all need in our world of music, especially in the light of the last few years.
If you're an MU member, please could I ask for your vote to continue on the Committee - the margins can be so narrow (last time I got in by less than 50 votes…) so every vote really counts and is dearly appreciated. It’s a postal vote only (ends Monday 11 November), so all MU members would have received a letter with a form to vote, with full info about candidates.
Sending sincere hope, huge thanks, and love to all! Emily

One of the highlights of my musical year so far was playing with vocalist Alexis Cole 🎤 in New York! With David Finck 🎸(bass) and Kenny Hassler 🥁(drums) this was an authentic NYC jazz dream come true! 😀 @jazzfm @LondonJazz @Jazzwise @UbuntuMusicJazz

I’m worried about AI Music, but not too worried.
AI will sadly replace lift music, but not music that lifts us.
Music’s magic cannot be measured by Math.
Or all who studied Mozart or McCartney would mean as much.

"CD sales are enjoying a mini-renaissance, and we have Taylor Swift fans to thank!" 💛🎵 Interesting article. Buying merch from artists you love is one of the few remaining ways of directly supporting them

"Lasky's music is orchestral and reminiscent of the first version of Chick Corea’s Return To Forever"
"Throughout the set, Lasky takes many fine solos and oversees a program that is full of variety, creative playing, and subtle surprises"
