d is for design!
we're growing the team modal.jobs
Today we're announcing that Modal has crossed $1B in annualized run rate, as well as raised a $750M Series D at a $15.75B valuation, led by @Accel.
Since our Series C, usage has tripled and we’ve grown more than 15x year-over-year.
We are deeply grateful to the developers and companies building on Modal. There's still so much more to build, and we can't think of a better time to be building software.
Why is everyone making their AI assistant a cute little coloured blob? I want the AI who manages my calendar to look like this.
If you're into puzzle games. This new one from Alex is awesome, whimsical fun! The design is so well done.
Stunning example of what can be done with Ai when you apply a little consideration.

Thank you so much to @chrstnerode for her amazing talk yesterday, and a big shout-out to everyone who showed up to make it such a fun event. It will be hard to match this one 🌙😎
Can’t wait to see everyone later for this event. ☀️ we were very over subscribed so apologies to all those who didn’t make it this time. We will work on something for next time!
🇬🇧 London designers!
Next week we’re back with an AI × Design evening, featuring @chrstnerode, Product Designer at @browsercompany, where she’s helping shape Dia—an AI-native browser that lets you work with AI across your tabs and browsing context.
Christine was previously a Staff Product Designer at @WhatsApp, @Deliveroo and @facebook, working on products used by millions of people.
She’ll give us a behind-the-scenes look at how she redesigned AI-generated documents to feel considered and human, using old-school print constraints to create a distinctive look for everyday outputs and Dia’s daily Morning Brief.
We’ll also have community demos, hands-on build time and an evening of socialising with other senior designers.
Wednesday 12 August, from 5:30pm at the @morsemoney office in Shoreditch.

Can’t wait until next week to hear more from Christine? She recently joined @charliedeets and @krosenbluth to unpack the thinking and design process behind bringing Spaces to Dia.

Good news for designers/creatives!!
The UK has officially expanded its Global Talent Visa with a dedicated pathway for the design industry.
If you're a graphic designer, UX/UI designer, product designer, brand designer, industrial designer or work in any eligible design field, you may now have a clearer route to live and work in the UK without needing employer sponsorship.
For designers looking to take their careers global, this is a major opportunity.
