JUST IN: Taiwan to impose sweeping short-selling restrictions starting Monday after its stock market suffers worst weekly decline since 2001.
$1B in one month of card sales is roughly equal to the entire US recorded music industry’s average monthly wholesale revenue (about $11.5B/year).
It’s also on par with a strong domestic box-office month.
For the average person: collectors just moved as much money on cardboard in October as the whole US music business does in a typical month.

Let’s think about this logically.
@gamestop would need the inventory to run @powerpacks independently.
Look at the original quoted post to see just how much that would be
Acquiring that through secondary market in a short period would be all but impossible
They would need a partner such as @PSAcard for the initial period as they built inventory through one of 3 ways: repurchasing cards on the #GME #PowerPacks site, acquire them on the secondary market, grading their own raw cards.
So let’s assume they have done this and are acquiring the entire power packs brand and the subsequent re-rating as described below.
What do you think happens then with a
1. Potential $2 billion share buyback
2. Additional media attention to the insider buys
2. All bondholder seeing the potential for disproportional upside potential, and its effect on bond desk arbitrage positions.
3. The hedging necessitated from upside action in the options market due to the high volume of OI and call/put ratio.
4. Potential RC Schwab margin loan recall along with the bond holders who obtained shares through the debt retirement recalling their shares on loan.
There is more.
What do you think would happen and what other potential catalysts did I miss.
Post your best thoughts below.

ELI5 first. @GameStop puts its trademarked name on @PowerPacks
@Collectors owns the actual product and is the seller of the packs.
Don’t worry. This. Is potentially extremely bullish. If you want to know why , read on.
1. Power Packs
GameStop owns the POWER PACKS trademark and the web site.
The seller of record is PowerPacks, LLC.
Collectors' user agreement sited on the PowerPacks user agreement lists it as a Collectors company (a subsidiary).
Cards sit in the PSA Vault, priced by Card Ladder.
The buybacks and cards are all @PSA inventory.
If you contact Power Packs customer service you see that is where the emails come from
GameStop calls its Collectors/PSA business "not material."
The proxy still showed $18.3M of FY2025 Power Packs transactions.
2. Job postings
May 2026, I saw and recorded them/
Q GameStop hiring Head of Global Treasury, Corporate FP&A, multi-entity consolidation. Collectors hiring SEC reporting and SOX accountants.
Collectors' board later : "purchase accounting and consolidation of newly acquired entities."
M&A Deal and. SEC filing readiness plumbing
3. The Collectors antitrust suit
Rasmussen v. Collectors Holdings, C.D. Cal. 8:26-cv-00897, filed Apr 14, 2026.
Proposed class action. It says the SGC and Beckett buys locked in PSA's hold on grading. Allegations, not findings.
Collectors moved to dismiss and to compel arbitration.
Hearing Dec 11, 2026.
Any addiriinwL card industry companies may hurt their defense ,the judge will look at their portfolio in totality.
Collectible industry infrastructure additions to their portfolio after the lawsuit was filed is not a good look.
That’s especially tru e if there happens to be two distinct groups of companies (authentication and security vs pricing and liquidity management.
4. Deal and filing clock in regards to warrants.
A signed merger needs an 8-K within 4 business days.
Signed Wed to Fri last week could land today or tomorrow.
Warrants went void 5 pm ET Oct 30. NYSE filed Form 25 at 8:51 am that day.
Guaranteed delivery closes 5 pm ET today.
EDGAR at 1 am ET today: no 8-K, no S-4.
Effective time of deal closing decides warrants fate. not the filing date(Possibly today )
5. New category last week: watches
Oct 29, 1:47 pm ET, @powerpacks:
“Watches have officially entered the Power Packs lineup. Available now for a limited time."
The terms now cover "a watch, or another collectible."
For watches, "PowerPacks determines Values ... internally."
The card store is now a multi-category store.
7/10
How big?
@foxenflask, Oct 31, after talking to @TheSportPlanner: run rate "including watches" likely $30-50M a month, "~$600M" GMV a year.
He guesses a 7-12% take.
The only filed number: $18.3M of FY2025 Power Packs transactions (T1).
8/10
6. Reverse merger, as @jake2b explains it
Delaware 251(g) lets the board put a new, renamed parent on top with no shareholder vote.
Same holders, board, rights.
It cannot pull in Collectors by itself. His 2024 "New Class" clue does not hold:
"GAMESTOP CORP NEW" is in a 2019 SEC filing (T1).
It cannot revive the Oct 30 warrants. (INF)
9/10
7. The re-rate
Direct effect of powerpacks on $GME earnings ins currently exactly what they state “immaterial
$18.3M is about 0.5% of $3,629.9M FY2025 net sales. How pack revenue currently is split is unresolved.
GameStop's 10-Q :
buy assets that
"will undergo a significant re-rating under our stewardship."
The re-rate case is the loop, not the pack revenue.
10/10
TLDR
- Power Packs: GameStop brand, Collectors seller
- Both sides hired new employees for deal plumbing
- Antitrust hearing Dec 11
- Watches added Oct 29
- $600M GMV is a one guys. -party guess
- No deal on EDGAR at 1 am ET
- Re-rate likely about the network
Watch 8-Ks this week.
A defining moment for @tZERO.
We've announced a proposed transaction with FG Imperii Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: FGII) to become a publicly traded company. tZERO is the original innovator in tokenization infrastructure. With our reset and refocus of the company over the last year, we've been building the regulated technology, infrastructure and market connectivity to power a tokenized financial system. Today, that vision takes a significant step forward.
“We have talked about the next phase of tZERO’s evolution requiring a more independent footprint. This transaction delivers that objective, unlocks growth paths and strengthens our ability to scale market infrastructure required for an increasingly tokenized financial system,” said @Alan_Konevsky, Chief Executive Officer of tZERO.
Expected ticker: TZRO. As previously mentioned, tZERO will also explore pathways for onchain trading, custody and utility utilization alongside its exchange listing.

Somewhat of a big correction here on $GME Power Packs estimated GMV after talking to @TheSportPlanner. Their current run rate (including watches) is likely somewhere between $30-50M a month. Which would give them a ~$600M run rate for GMV at this time. Obviously unclear what their take-rate is, but staying with my estimate of 7-12% for now.
For reference, Courtyard raised a $30M Series A in July 2025. Neither the company’s announcement nor any of the contemporaneous reporting provided a pre-money or post-money valuation. At the time, Courtyard reported approximately $50M in monthly GMV. I would guess the valuation was somewhere around 0.75-1x annualized GMV.
GameStop is just getting started, I am confident this GMV can reach ~$2B by end of next year, specially if they add more categories.

👀🔥 Another piece of our GME.WS investigation just fell into place.
$IonQ's warrant agreement contains protections similar to GameStop's Reference Property provisions.
Different terminology, comparable mechanics.
Both address what warrant holders could receive following a qualifying merger, reorganization, or exchange.
Now look at our precedents.
$EQV completed a documented warrant conversion.
$IonQ approached a scheduled expiration.
Both received Form 25 filings selecting Rule 12d2-2(a)(3).
Both IonQ and GameStop also had contractual provisions protecting warrant holders during qualifying corporate events.
The checkbox isn't the trigger.
The protection clause isn't the trigger.
The qualifying corporate event is.
We're narrowing the investigation to executed agreements, effective dates, corporate action notices, and actual successor consideration.
Less guessing, more paperwork.
That's how we connect the dots. 👀🔥🍻
