I stopped watching the NFL when it got nerfed (2013). Earl Campbell is laughing at all you pussies youtu.be/QEBhczJUZD0?is=sdxH…
Cam Skattebo getting called for unnecessary roughness as the BALL CARRIER is wild. You’ve got 11 dudes coming downhill with bad intentions trying to put you on the ground. But when you truck somebody in the hole, it’s a penalty? Nah, that ain’t it.

Bill Thompson is an interesting guy. He’s a bow hunter. He developed an app to predict thermal gradients using GPS, so the app will tell you if a deer can catch your scent if you approach from a specific direction on a mountain slope. Bill is a systems thinker. So when he hunts, he is consciously making a hundred calculations about topography/wind/temp/thermals/firebreaks/solar position etc. Bill tells a story about a guy he took hunting. The guy (I forget his name let’s call him Mike) was consistently a more successful hunter than Bill (and Bill is a high level hunter). Mike would enter a clearing and pause, look around and say, “Ok this looks right.” And go set up an ambush position. Soon a deer would come along giving them a clean shot. Bill as a systems thinker asked Mike to explain his process. But apparently, Mike had no process. He followed his instincts. After years of hunting, Mike didn’t need to think about anything. All the thinking was compressed into heuristics. So Mike couldn’t explain how he knew the deer would come into that particular clearing. He had no ability to decompress those instinctual heuristics and teach Bill his system. So here’s my question. Who would you view as more intelligent, Bill or Mike? I’m interested in the idea that “intelligence” is always advanced by reducing/compressing understanding down into simple behavioral heuristics. Emotions are compressed behavioral heuristics representing the episodic experiences of our species. So this kind of episodic compression appears to be scale invariant. So which kind of intelligence do you view as “more intelligent”? Bill or Mike?

People are the funniest animals. Climbing gradients of cognition, you will reach a critical point of understanding of the human condition. At that point there’s a timeline split. In one timeline, you become demoralized. Traumatized. Suddenly everything is an illusion. Nothing you value is actually “real”. And your feet are set upon the dark path. Existentialism. Nihilism. Tragedy. In the other timeline, you are suddenly struck by the humor of the whole situation. You realize how funny people are, and that humor provides the homeostatic function required to continue climbing gradients of cognition. Suddenly life is a comedy. Without that humor, you plateau. You forget how to play. You wander in tragic cognitive circles forever.

Being a person is complicated because we have primate sexual instincts intended for natural ecosystems. Artificial human ecosystems require that we regulate those sexual instincts (top-down cognitive regulation).

Among the most dystopian images I’ve seen in 2026. Not AI. This is really happening.

I will unfollow anyone who uses the term Superintelligence (SI). For obvious reasons.
