I don't have kids so you can ignore my opinion if you'd like, but I think a month full of trunk-or-treats is dumb and has watered down the spirit of Halloween. It all felt so much more special when it was one night of going house to house in (likely) a homemade costume.
Part of what makes holidays special is shared experience. We knew our neighbors, so much so they looked forward to our baked treats and popcorn balls on Halloween. They trusted us and we trusted them. That trust extended to the everyday where we helped one another with anything.
With help from my husband, I did the stressful thing this morning. Everything seems to be okay. I really appreciate the prayers. It's frustrating, what our brains decide to make us feel. I've heard people say it's just trying to protect us, but that can really go too far.
I have a very stressful morning tomorrow. It feels petty to ask, but I'd be honored to have any spare prayers and good thoughts.

I just remembered that someone tried to buy my username off of me on Instagram some time ago. This was someone with more followers and they acted as if my name wouldn't be something I'd care to lose as a nobody. They said they'd pay any price. Shoot your shot, I guess, but ick.
You guys liked the Sendero post and I'm so grateful! I thought I'd post some of my other pattern work. The first one (the bees) was just for fun and the other three for clients.

I'm finally able to show you these patterns I created for Sendero Provisions Co., Pollinator and Highlands. I love getting to learn about the flora and fauna of other places.
You can find the above in the women's section and a monochrome version of Pollinator in the men's section. senderopc.com/
Purveyors of food and drink, don't use AI for your menus/images. This is bad and doesn't look in the least appetizing.
AI menus are disgusting.
The images look repulsive, of course -- but what's worse is that thousands of restaurant owners see these disgusting images and say "hey, looks great, let's use this for the menu!"
This is a mental illness, you have to be kind of sick in the head to think these menus look nice. There seems to be an actual neurological difference between people who think this is OK and people who think these images are disgusting.
It should be patently obvious that these freaky, uncanny-valley-esque images of food are going to make decent people wretch when they see them.
When I see AI menu slop, I do not eat at that place.
